    TOTAL FUN

by NightEagle13 on 2014-01-03Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

I wasn't sure what to expect.I have seen all 3 movies and couldn't imagine a musical. Well, this cast blew me away. Their voices and singing abilities were excellent. Great stage presences and dancing. I highly recommend this to any live stage lover.

    Evil Dead the Over-rated

by gadfly2112 on 2014-01-03Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

While small off-beat theatre appears to be alive and well in Toronto, this performance was a bit of a disappointment. While not horrible, for $80 per person, for a family of 4, this event was over-priced and over-hyped. Yes it's a deliberately "campy" musical comedy but there was far too much emphasis on mediocre singing "routines" (laced with excessive profanity) and not enough focus on gore, special effects and horror. After all it's the "Evil Dead" and no amount of last-minute "splatter" can change the high-school quality of the overall performance.

Great cast, great vocals and just a huge laugh. Came away from the show with my daughter smiling, laughing and soaked....

    Way better then expected !!!

by MusicFemme on 2014-01-02Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Bought the tickets to this show for my husband as he really wanted to see it. I was not so sure. Boy was I wrong, this was absolutly amazing. Way more humour then horror. Kept me interested and entertained for the entire play. There is not a bad seat in this theater. We were not in the splatter zone, thank goodness, those people were soaked at the end. Not my thing but I am sure they enjoyed being drenched in blood. I can see why people see this show over and over. So funny !!!!

    Evil Dead - Bloody Awesome!!

by bohica on 2013-12-31Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Went to see The Evil Dead Musical, sat in the splatter zone & it was awesome!! Full of corny jokes and songs everything a cult classic should be. True to all slasher flicks all the blood and action was in the last 15 minutes. Got covered in blood it was a great time. Would definitely go again. Great job by the cast.

Evil Dead as the worst musical I have ever seen.

by Worst on 2013-12-30Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Evil Dead as the worst musical I have ever seen. For the $85.00 we paid we certainly expected a lot more. In short the whole production was very amateur.

    Evil Dead - The Musical

by Sunny1t on 2013-12-30Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Awesome job! Cast was amazing and the show was so memorable. Didn't go for the splatter zone, but I can imagine it being an interesting experience with the blood being sprayed at you. A different kind of show filled with laughter, amusement and a good story line. Really enjoyed it

    Buckets of Blood and Laughs

by KellyGM on 2013-12-29Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Campy fun at its very best. A clever little production that embraces the "best" of the classic Evil Dead "franchise". Bruce Campbell would be proud. Catchy tunes and a cast that really seemed to enjoy itself.

    Bloody silly and fun!

by EvilMeds on 2013-12-29Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

Our family sat front and centre in the splatter zone and had a great time. It's fast-paced and doesn't take itself seriously at all. Our kids (yes we took our kids) really got into it as well and we were declared the coolest people ever for bringing them. It is pretty raunchy and the actors know how to make the material work. And they work! Surprising amount of dancing as well as singing. If you are planning on sitting in the splatter zone bring a garbage bag to protect your coats and clothes you don't want covered in fake blood. You may want to put a towel or two in the bag as well. Wearing white clothes will provide you with some fun looks to take photos of afterwards.

My wife and I just loved it, it was really funny for a trilogy of Horror. The first 4 rows were in the splatter zone aka the bloody rain from hell and guts.

    It was good overall

by asldfkj on 2013-12-09Randolph Theatre (formerly known as the Bathurst Street Theatre) - Toronto

It was a fun, casuel type musical. Not a big production like some others I've been to, but they did good with what they had. Some really funny parts. Was pretty corny at parts - OF COURSE! What did you expect? Haha. Backing tracks left a lot to be desired, but this wouldn't bother most people. Overall - fun. We were row E, which was directly behind the splatter zone (rows A-D). We got a little residual but nothing too bad. They announced that it washes out easily. Seats were great, though I don't think there was a bad seat in the venue.
