  • Finger eleven

Why perform at halftime when you have a concert people have paid for after the game. It took too long for both bands to start.

  • Pretty Good overall and Finger Eleven was great.

The DJ selected alot of great songs for the intermissions, the problem was he only played them for a very short time and he would switch to another song...talk about a DJ with ADD. You could see the crowd starting to dance to the song and then he would switch and people would stand there mixed up and wait for the song to kick back in or a longer play time of the next song. It made it really hard to dance. The opening bands were pretty good, I just wish I could hear more of the lyrics clearly from Hinder.

  • Very fun, but had a few annoyances

    by Blondie24 on 2011-10-30Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

I had an awesome time. The bands were great. The set up was good. The costumes were amazing. It was so nice that they had many tables set up. You could always find somewhere to sit if you needed to. The doors opened at 7pm. We got there at 8:20pm and still had to wait in line for approximately 25mins, just to get in. I thought that was ridiculous. They should have had way more people doing the ticket checking/ID checking. There were only three & it took forever. They also should have had a better drink selection, specifically coolers. They should have had more liquor available. They ran out of everything by 12 midnight, except for one type of beer.

  • Great party, the bands were excellent!

    by Newsh66 on 2011-10-30Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Tickets said that doors open at 7pm but hundreds of people waited until 8:15 before the line started moving. Beer and other drinks were promoted as being $5 per but cost $6. For the money, the bands were outstanding! Anyone would be hard pressed to see three premium bands in one venue for such a low price. All in all a great night with awesome music!

just need a better line up, like a little harder rocking bands throw some slipknot in there or lamb of god and it would be a killer show.

  • Finger Eleven was this highlight of the night!!

by Mandar on 2011-10-30Shaw Conference Centre - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

I will have to say the whole reason I went to the concert was to see finger eleven but at the end of the night I was thoroughly impressed with the whole thing. It will definitively be a night I won't ever forget. Drinks were expensive though...

Finger Eleven was a great band to watch perform. Their live sound was exactly like their recordings.

  • Finger Eleven Mission B.C

    by Chrissy5440 on 2011-02-12Clarke Theatre Foundation - MissionRating: 5 out of 5

An All ages show, lots of 10 year olds with beiber hair styles, also alot of teenagers, the venue kind of smelled like a football locker room (gag) Very small crowd, perhaps 200 people if that This was my first time seeing the band, which is my 3rd fave EVER band (im 37) and Finger Eleven didnt disappoint! The vocals sounded just like the album, and the two guitarists had amazing energy and were bouncing around, smiling, and rockin their faces off! Rick Jackett (long dark hair) was incredible, throwing his guitar around while playing it, pretending it was a gun, dancing around just given'r, he was very very entertaining! James Black (lead guitarist) was awesome too, and pretty cute! For their age, the show was totally rocking and I recommend this show to all. Even with 12 year olds screaming in my ear, I was 4th row and immensely enjoyed my time with this band. I will go ahead and by the new album now, as before I wasnt sure! Scott Anderson seemed like he was sick, but braved through it and belted out all the faves, although a few of my faves were missing, I love how enlightened he is with the lyrics, great tunes and an even greater meaning!!

  • Finger Eleven - Awsome

by AshlynnsDad on 2011-02-06Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

One of my favourite bands. This was the 6th time seeing them. We have followed them since the first time we seen them in 2002 at the old Winnipeg Arena when they opened for OLP. Rick and James are awsome guitarists and watching Rick throw his guitar around is priceless. Scott's vocals along with his brother's bass playing and Rich's drumming equal one bad ass Canadian band. Loved it all.

  • Finger Eleven Rocks!

What an incredible performance by Finger Eleven. Started off with Any Moment Now and continued with great song after great song. Dipping into their earlier stuff was a treat! A must see for anyone who enjoys any of their material from old to present!

This was my second time seeing Finger 11, I'm just getting into them since seeing them first time at Festival of Friends a few years ago. Starting to know how great they really are. It was a great show, musicians were exactly like I remember them from Gage Park, a good thing in my books. I really like their stage presence and antics of the guitarists, the drummer, great guitar work too. Very good range of music, a few songs from each of their albums were played. It was interesting to see how much less people were in the crowd for this Hamilton Place concert versus the park, I'm assuming it was because it was a Monday night, but I have never seen as big of a crowd in the park before or since Finger 11. I was quite impressed in the age range at the show too, from very old to very young, it was nice to see an all ages show with all ages there. The opening act Elias put on just a good a show, a bit more popish in their music, I do really like the arrangement of all their songs. I enjoyed the impromptu bass strap failure, he managed to carry on with the song. I'll have to keep my eyes on them, if they ever come around again I might get out to see them perform. They also started their set exactly at 7:30, I like that. The Envy, unfortunately did not ring any bells with me. They had great stage presence, the lead singer running around the stage. They tried to get the crowd into it, I think if the crowd had been larger they might have had more success. All in all a great night of music.

  • Finger 11/Elias and Envy

Excellent show, small intimate venue and Envy and Elias rocked the house too!

  • Finger Eleven is even better!

by musicalady on 2011-01-26Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Every time I go to see this band, they are better and better. The latest album shows increased musicality, a gelling of the band and even more thoughtful lyrics. Way to go guys!

James Black has to be one of the the best gutarist Canada has ever produced...Great energy at the gig. One of the best live bands around.
