  • Great Performances by the cast

by Granny (Barb) on 2024-09-16Algonquin Commons Theatre - NepeanRating: 5 out of 5

I brought my 8 year old granddaughter and she was absolutely thrilled with the entire show. Her only regret was that I didn't get VIP tickets, as she wanted to meet (and hug) the cast. Interactive, fun, and funny at times, it didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who loved the movie Frozen!

  • Didn't know what to expect

by Nana on 2024-09-12Algonquin Commons Theatre - NepeanRating: 4 out of 5

My granddaughters (6 1/2 yrs) were entranced the whole time. Loved that a lot of the attendees were dressed up! Didn't know what to expect as far as what they were doing for a show, but loved the way they retold the story, with audience sing alongs. The only down side was that the background music was often too loud and made it very difficult to hear the performers over it. But my girls were happy, therefore so am I!

  • Delightful and Inspiring Afternoon

    by Apple563 on 2024-09-12Algonquin Commons Theatre - NepeanRating: 5 out of 5

Frozen in Time was the story of the movie Frozen told by Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff through vignettes and songs from the musical. The target audience were young children dressed up as princesses. Elsa and Anna were the leads and kept the children interested by being very engaging and animated as they shared stories if Frozen from their perspectives and burst into song. Their singing voices were strong and dramatic - very talented actors who have lots of experience with young audiences. The performance was interactive to get the audience involved. The sound system was very good and the lighting was magical. The set was quite simple but effective with some evergreen trees. A giant screen showed various characters and scenes from the movie to remind the children as the stories were told. In the middle of the show, a few adults were invited to the stage and a little Frozen trivia contest took place. The actors and audience members made it entertaining and fun. When Kristoff and Olaf made surprise visitis, the children went wild. I could hear children passionately singing some of the more well known songs like Let it Go. This song was also sung at the end of the performance and they added some actions for the audience to do. The whole theatre was electric and the children were standing up singing and doing the actions.! It was very moving to see so many little people inspired and excited by Frozen in Time! It was a big moment in their lives - an experience they will remember - to see their heros from Frozen in the flesh. After the show, those parents who paid for the Meet and Greet waited in line with their children so they could go on stage and have their children’s pictures taken with Elsa and Anna. These two actors remained in character and were very warm and welcoming. What a thrill for the princesses! Both performances were sold out. What a delightful afternoon!

  • Delightfully impressive

I went to the show with my 2.5 and 5 year old daughters, along with my mom, sister and 3.5 year old niece. The kids stayed in their seats, and were engaged with the show the whole time. It was the perfect mix of singing, story telling, and audience interaction. They had our girls attention from start to finish. The length of the show was just right. We had a wonderful time, and would definitely go again.

  • So cute!

It was really great! My daughter and her friend absolutely loved it. Cast was so good. I would maybe suggest they make it like 10 mins shorter, but otherwise it was perfect!

  • It was ok but not amazing

by Geta on 2024-09-11Algonquin Commons Theatre - NepeanRating: 3 out of 5

It was more of a story telling than a play, kids lost patience quickly. They had beautiful voices and the songs was really good but the representation was weak and my daughter was disappointed.

  • Frozen in Time

It was a cute reenactment of the first movie. Was short and sweet. Was expecting more of a musical with set changes and more people and props. Anna had an amazing voice. Kristoph completely looked the part. Interactive and fun for the kids.
