    A Surreal Evening With Goddo!

by bdgf on 2012-06-25Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

Goddo's music was intertwined with moments of humor and interesting bio facts creating the perfect ambiance to a perfect evening. The environment in which they played provided a personal setting where the audience could connect and Goddo did not let their fans down with their awesome playing as seasoned musicians interacting nonstop with the audience! Having the privilege to sit up front to the stage was an incredible and very personal experience that I will not soon forget! Thank you Goddo and keep on rocking!

Goddo rocked us oldies back to our roots!

by ShyGirll on 2011-08-29Sound Academy - Toronto

Great night! thanks Q107 for keeping us oldies rockin' back with some favourites. It was great having the Carpet Frogs opening and there wasn't such a big time gap between the bands this time. Goddo's pre-empt trailer to the movie was GREAT; it helped us remember back when....... We do hopeThursday night concerts continue next year!

    Goddo. What a birthday party!!!!!

by bobnoxious on 2011-03-21Sound Academy - Toronto

It is hard to put into words, when you watch a concert that seems to encapsulate your whole life in a couple of hours. Goddo is a bunch of guys who grew up in Toronto, as I did, with a leader who grew up in Scarborough, like I did. They played at my high school and I watched them cut their teeth at the Knobby which Greg mentioned in their interview. Seeing these guys at 60 and knowing what I feel like at 52, well, it was overwhelming. They played like they had never spent a minute apart. I closed my eyes and felt myself whisked back to those old days in the bars of Scarborough. To watch Gino and his son Gene blaze amazing solos in total synch was mind-bending. In summary, I loved every minute, every beer I drank and every memory I conjured up in my mind. It was Scarborough circa 1977 for me. Enough said. THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!!

    And then he created GODDO!

by randybear on 2011-03-21Sound Academy - Toronto

As a 51 yr. old rocker, it was a real treat Saturday night at the Sound Acandemy! On the eve of Greg's 60th birthday even, what could be better? Standing up near the stage, when the intro music (horns) started the show and the boy's struck those first few power cords to "Walk ON", there's Doug, and Gino and Gregg just like 30 some yrs ago, and I'm immediately transported back to that time of my life as a rock lovin teen! The show was truly spectacular and the guys continually displayed the professionalism and calm rock confidence that has carried them through the years and allowed them to transend the continual shifts in music styles and genres, to here this Saturday night where in a continuous and seemless flow of "head knockin", pure Canadian,no crap rock, they delivered rock in it's purest form to a most appreciative crowd. I must say too, that even some of the youger audience, who wouldn't remember the early days from which Goddo and their music were born, were enthusiastically into it! Just further proof that pure, to the point, rock and rock and roll will never die! Thanks for a memorable evening guys, happy 60th to Gregg and many more! And, may Goddo rock on!!

    Thank Goddo

    by yesfan49 on 2011-03-21Sound Academy - Toronto

As a big concert goer i have to say this was one great concert. I saw the Buck Cherry Pappa Roach show the week before and Goddo rocked the place even more. At 60 years of age these guys are just as good as they were 30 years ago. Greg's voice is fantastic and his personality was great during the interviews and show. Gino was a class act and still plays the guitar with a love for it. It was a nice touch to have his son playing with him at the end of the show. Doug played great on the drums. Goddo remains one of the most underated bands in Canadian music history. I only hope they play more shows if Greg moves back from Calgary. To any rock fan who reads this i say you must go see Goddo. These three guys put on a great show. What a bang for your buck!
