Goo Goo Dolls, a band that rose from the punk scene in Buffalo, New York, penned several of the most definitive hits of the ’90s. Forming in 1985, the Goo Goo Dolls experimented with hard rock before landing on a winning formula that incorporated elements of acoustic and alternative rock for 1995’s A Boy Named Goo. The album yielded the band’s first Billboard 200 chart placement at No. 27 and its unlikely third single “Name” climbed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1998, the band vaulted to global ubiquity with “Iris,” a ballad written for the City of Angels soundtrack that later ushered in their quintuple-platinum sixth album Dizzy up the Girl. The song remained atop the former Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart for 18 weeks, a record that stood until 2020. The Goo Goo Dolls solidified their stratospheric success with the equally catchy follow-up single “Slide,” which hit No. 8 on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum itself. In 2002, Gutterflower earned the band their highest Billboard 200 peak at No. 4, while 2006’s Let Love In added more catalog highlights like “Better Days'' and a cover of Supertramp’s “Give a Little Bit.” Founding members Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac have toured extensively across the 2010s while maintaining a steady output of new projects, including 2019’s Miracle Pill and 2022’s self-produced Chaos in Bloom.

Amazing performance by Johnny and Robby and their backing band. A night to remember.
We purchased Silver VIP tickets last year and the concert was cancelled. We purchased the same for this year. We stood outside waiting to get in and the venue stated it’d be another 17 mins, we waited over 30 mins. Once we got in the VIP bags were not put together, we were passed a bag, envelope with our sticker and lanyard. The silent disco was a flop, a good portion of the earphones didn’t work. At first the security guard wouldn’t let the VIP’s to the merch table. When we got to the merch table there were only 5 clothing items to choose from. While the VIP’s were upstairs getting photos done with Johnny and Robby, we were told that a signed copy of the set list was just put out at the merch table. By the time the VIP’s were done, the set list was sold out. A lady I met in the line up and I explained this to the VIP Rep and she came back downstairs with one, which was kind but there was two of us and only one copy. Overall the VIP experience was unorganized and disappointing. Meeting Johnny and Robby was great, we had all of maybe 1 minute to shake hands and have the photo taken. Both were very kind but it felt very rushed by the VIP Rep. The concert was awesome and Johnny interacted with the crowd and kept everyone entertained.
25 years going strong! They sound great, have so much energy and play a good mix of old hits and new songs. Also, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre is so nice and intimate
Amazing show!! Felt like we were in a club because of the small venue. John Rzeznik is such a charismatic lead singer.
The show was at a small cozy venue where it made you feel as though you were really up close and personal with the band which was amazing. The Goo’s put a lot of energy into their performance, interaction with the crowd, and John really showcased his talent with his long guitar riffs. The Goo’s definitely keep you coming back for more. It was a real treat to catch them at the last show (Toronto) on their tour just an arms length away from their hometown Buffalo.
First time at this venue and loved it, not a bad seat in the house and the sound was incredible! Even without my favorite song the show was amazing , Miracle Pill is a gem🤘 look forward to seeing them again soon🎸
The Queen Elizabeth Theater was an Awesome venue! Great sound, intimate so every seat had a great view!! The band was so energetic, they got the crowd singing and dancing! The whole audience was standing for the entire show!! Johnny Rzeznik sang a lot of the classics plus many new songs form Miracle Pill the new album, which are Awesome! Overall the band rocked and the venue was Awesome!!
For a 2-hour concert on a Monday night, I'd rather not having an opening band. Especially because the band wasn't great and the vocalist was extremely drunk. But when Goo Goo Dolls started to play, was simply amazing! They're great and the lights were so captivating!
Great experience, these guys are a must see. Put them on your list of bands you have to see, you will never be disappointed! To see the GooGoo Dolls in a theatre setting was awesome. Great sound and fun interactions with the band.
Great venue. Superb performance from a band that never gets old.
