by Rayone on 2014-01-21Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonThe Philharmonic hit all the right notes. The soloist was simply fantastic. The evening was unforgettable. The folks sitting next to my wife had never been to a live performance and were thrilled. Although the husband loved classical music and listened to it all the time, he had never been to a concert before. They were enchanted. You cannot get better than that.

Rating: 3 out of 5 More singing needed
by earthsong on 2011-12-19Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonI expected there would be a lot more singing as the event was called a GOSPEL Christmas not the Hamilton Phil. Christmas. The music was all good and an enjoyable evening. Would have been awesome with more singing!!!!!!!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing!!
by musiclover75 on 2011-11-21Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonIts been a few years since I saw Chantal Kreviazuk, its such a joy to have an interactive and intimate show with her, The HPO added such a wonderful touch to the show. I would definitely go again. The scores that were arranged with her songs were perfect! Couldn't ask for a better night of music.

Rating: 4 out of 5 The First Timer
by nursegabby on 2009-11-29Hamilton Place Theatre - HamiltonFor a first timer to the Philharmonic I have to say that I was impressed! The music selections were perfect and diverse. The whimisical protrayal of the elements by Britten. The haunting and fragmented piano concerto by Tchaikovsky. And the longing heartache by Braham. They were all enchanting and memorable. The conductor and the pianist both were full of emence passion and talent as were the rest of the members of the orchestra. A very worthwhile event indeed!
