Third time seeing the Globe Trotters. First time was 35 years ago. Think they need to show a little more pizzazz and work on their comedy skits. GOing up the court and shooting threes is not that exiting..which they did a lot of. As much as I enjoy watching them they need to step up their game.
As children both my husband and I remember seeing the Harlem Globetrotters on TV. When we heard they were coming to Toronto we immediately looked into it and purchased tickets. We are a family of four and enjoyed watching the show! It was interactive, funny and all around good show:)
Definitely not for grownups but ny son loved it. We got him a ball and headband whixh he wont dtop wearing/playing with 😁
Had a hard time understanding what was being said on the court, and since so much of the show happened on the opposite side of us, it would have been better to have had a camera on that side so you could see the faces as opposed to the backside being projected on the Center screen
It was a fantastic game and love the showmanship. Full of laughter to the end, can't wait for them to come back to the city.
Worth it !!!! Kids love it and an enjoyable time !!
Skilled players, creating funs and exciting games!
it was a great show, brought back great memories of seeing curly, meadowlark years ago. lots of action and great fun
Fun for the whole family. Funny, interactive and beat of all some great basketball
My kids and i loved the show. Everything was well organized. Will go back again!
Very entertaining show. Funny and engaging. Very athletic players diplaying dynamic skills. Great for kids upbeat dancing overall worth it 👌
It’s not what it used to be. A lot of the same tricks repeatedly. Had some entertainment value but disappointed.
Lots of laughs and great family entertainment. Expected to see more basketball tricks, but overall good value for the money and now my kids know who the globetrotters are!
We went this past wknd for the first time. The show was fun, entertaining & hilarious! Loved that we got to meet the players for pictures & autographs after!
The entire experience was enjoyable. The show was fun and my kids really had fun.
My kids and I loved it. It was so exciting. They also got to take pictures with the players. How cool is that?!?!
I left with the fam early, so we could see the warm-up before the show began. Much to my chagrin, there wasn't enough personnel placed at the entrance doors to check the tickets, masks, etc. to move the masses in a quick fashion; resulting in the line snaking out the venue's doors to the street. The show starts at 19:00 hours we didn't get to our seats until 19:34 hours. No fault of the paying patrons; we were not advised to be to the venue an hour prior to the show starting. You would think with a near capacity crowd, they would foresee the need to add additional personnel to ensure everyone got to their seats in time, to enjoy the show. People wouldn't have to line up and stand in the cold. If that wasn't bad enough, arriving at our seats late due to the venue not having the foresight to prevent this from happening; the show itself lacked the "Wow" factor. I'm one of those people that have seen the original H.G. perform and these new guys and gals lacked the finesse of the original group of performers. So, if I had to rate it, the venue would rate D-, for ripping the paying customer off. There was no need for anyone to have missed a half hour of the 'entertainment'. As far as the Harlem Globetrotters performance goes; I would personally give them a C+. Would I recommend them to anyone to take their family to; probably not. It was a disappointing performance. Also would I go to a performance of any type at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines again; only if I had assurance that they correct their penny-pinching ways and put on adequate staff to ensure patrons are seated in a timely fashion!
So you see ads for the Harlem Globetrotters doing tricks on trampolines, cool slam dunks, and using eye-catching skills that you'd never see at a normal basketball game, however this was more of a laid-back, street game of basketball. They did some cool shuffling about with the ball and teammates, they had a small patron (a kid) from the VIP section come onto the court and picked him up to get the ball in the net, and they had a hilarious grandma throughout with her silly commentary. I bought 7 tickets for my family, 3 of us were kids, and the game felt more for adults or teenagers than it did for kids. Needless to say, the youngest lost interest at the halftime and wanted to go home but struggled to stay until the end. I was a little disappointed in the performance but glad I was able to go and see. Probably wouldn't go again though.
It was not what I was expecting. Played more like a circus act than a sports event.
