Truly a great experience for my 4 year old son. We both loves it!!
The Globetrotter tickets were a birthday gift for my daughter and I must say, they were one of her best presents ever! We will go to see them again.
It was a great show. We had a lot of laughs and enjoyed ourselves. I think it is best suited for kids it had a lot of variety in the show
It was my pleasure to take my 13 year old nephew and 11 year old niece to the show in Hamilton. I was worried that maybe there were getting to old to enjoy this but we all had some good laughs and as my nephew pointed out he is old enough to understand the tricks they do and try some out for him self. It really is a good show for the whole family to enjoy.
Great show for adults and children. Kids were kept entertained the whole time!
I went with my family, including a small child, and we all couldn't wait for it to be over. It was repetitive, no atmosphere, no entertainment, even the children were bored to death. Don't waste your money!
We thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Great humour and fun for the family. My little guy wanted to confirm if this is the NBA or not.?! Liked the opportunity to get autographs.
Great affordable family event for kids 5-13 and the young at heart. Kids like the goofy parts and the players were very accessible during pre-game show and after the game for autographs and photos.
Amazing ticks, dunks, passes and just an overall massive show! It was epic and deffs recommended! Maybe they over did the 4-point shots... would have been nicer to see more dunks.
me and my two sons, one thirty and the other ten went to watch the globetrotters. we enjoyed every moment. we will be going to see them again the next time they are back in town.
What a fun enjoyable time my daughters and I had. So fun, entertaining and relaxing. I found the team was very kind to sign autographs at the end to the general guests. They were very nice about taking photos as well. I would recommend everyone to take their family's to one of their games at least once in their lives!
The show is a little dated, they need to freshen things up. The arena was half empty as well, so there was little atmosphere. Surely it would be better to cut ticket prices so they get a full arena and there would be a better atmosphere as a result? The 4-point shots were pathetic as well. the Globetrotters didn't hit one until the 4th quarter! So we paid to see 12 minuts of them aimlessly lobbing balls and missing the hoop by miles. They would be better off ditching this gimick and concentrating on the tricks and dunks, which is really what the crowd wants to see.
I really enjoyed the show. It made me laugh out loud and I needed that! Had to keep my eyes on the floor at all time so I didn't miss anything as there was always lots going on. Loved that they involved the audience.
This is a great show for family. The kids absolutely loved it.
I am 44 years old and I had always wanted to go to see the Globetrotters. This was the year I made it a reality! So glad I did! I went on my own as my husband had been a few times in his life, so we were saving money too. The tickets were a little pricey, but at this point I didn't care! The Globetrotters were so entertaining and funny! From the moment they stepped onto the court to the time they left, they entertained the crowd! I was hoping that more of the team could have been there though. I bought the program and realized there were many players not even there! I would definitely go again, as the second time I might even see some different players! :-) The four stars is only because I wanted to see more players than they had.
very entertaining.my 6 year ol;d loved it. i think he even grew watching those giants.
My teenage son and I attended this event, and we were both taken back and disappointed with how juvenile and boring (repetitive) this show was. The entertainment lacked diversity and creativity, but most importantly some competitiveness and reality. The Globetrotters did the same rehearsed passing and scoring plays over and over. Plus the humor was rather immature. Bottom line, this show is geared for little kids and parents...not adults!
The Globetrotters put on an amazing performance again this year. They keep the fans excited and antipating the next move. Lots of fun for the whole family. Pregame show does need to be longer, the autograph / meet & greet isn't long enough to allow everyone to see all the players. I've bought tickets the past 2 years and both years we've not been able to see all the players for a photo/autograph
I have been to the Harlem Globetrotters a few times now, maybe 4 but, the last experience was about 3 years ago. I am a student and for Valentine's Day my boyfriend wanted "an experience," and as the Globetrotters were in Calgary on the 15th of February, I thought it would be perfect. The show that I remember was an actual basketball game (with pretend teams) that was then amplified by tricks and fancy skills. I can remember walking away completely satisfied. This time was not the same however. The show was very fake, horrible silly comedy that i would expect in a poorly done comedy movie. The Globetrotters were made to look completely foolish. They were falling on the court on their faces, doing silly dances, nothing was taken seriously. Every moment was overwhelming and silly humour that was truly more annoying than entertaining. When the true tricks began they were all the same, they did the weave a few times, hung from the rim, one of them flipped their body onto the rim (no dunk was done after, he simply sat) and they spun the ball on their finger. To be honest, I have friends who can spin a basketball on their finger too, I did not need to waste $90 to see so called professionals do it. There was a child in front of us who actually fell asleep during the show, which got me thinking, if a 6 or 7 year old boy is not entertained enough to stay awake, how could myself or my 32 year old boyfriend possibly enjoy such a terrible spectacle? To sum up, we were completely let down by our experience and will never return to watch another "game."
An updated version of the original Globetrotter team. Fun, wholesome, family entertainment with great music, dance moves, athleticism, clown antics, humour and interaction wtih the crowd. Great entertainment for all ages.
