    Wonderful Experience

    by Cdngirl2 on 2022-05-12Meridian Hall - Toronto

As Owen Wilson would say, “Wow!” My daughters and I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the orchestra! Loved it!

    Great evening with my daughter

by Nicole on 2022-05-11Meridian Hall - Toronto

I recently took my daughter to Meridian Hall for an evening of Harry Potter & the TSO. Everything was well organized and the night was enjoyable. I only wish the upstairs concession stands were open. The lower ones were open but the line ups were very long so we ended up without any food or snacks. (It was still a good night).

Great evening with TSO and Harry Potter 7/1

    by A. H. on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

This event is the presentation of the movie, without music track, since the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, live, plays the music scored for the movie. This must be quite a feat for the conductor who has to bring the orchestra in at exactly the right time, at exactly the right tempo. It all works. The orchestra is world-class, the conductor engages the audience, and the movie itself is very much worth seeing more than once. The music for the film, by Alexandre Desplats, is a great example of music composed to interpret the film narrative and add an emotional structure.

    Too much unnecessary noise

by Cher on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

I didn't like how the conductor encouraged the audience to cheer during the movie in concert. I would love to just watch the movie quietly while appreciating the live orchestra music but the audience was too loud and distracting.

    It was great!

by Shirl on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

We have been to an HP concert before. This one didn’t disappoint either! The movie was great and the orchestra was fantastic. We already bought the tickets for Part 2 in December 2022.

    Mixed feelings

by Vincent on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

The orchestra was so talented that we didn’t really remember they were there but it made the event kinda boring and extremely long. The best part was the preshow talk but other than that we we didn’t enjoy it fully tbh especially when we’ve seen the film many times before. I recommend that the concession stand put signs up notifying out of stock items.

    Great experience

by Javier on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

I went with my 14 year old daughter and we enjoyed it with a big Harry Potter community, it was not only watching the film and enjoying the music directly from the orchestra it was also feeling the participation of the public

    Amazing!!

by Kwinter on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

Incredible experience! I’ve been to several of these movies with the symphony playing, and they don’t disappoint. The crowd is invited to participate and clap or cheer for their favourite character. People dress up in their house colours. Very fun experience. Only negative is the lines for the washroom at intermission are incredibly long.

    Amazing

by Dashiell Qwerty on 2022-05-10Meridian Hall - Toronto

This is our first time watching a concert series of a Harry Potter movie and thank goodness that this is our first because it is amazing and an unforgettable experience for us. The movie, especially the music by Toronto Symphony Orchestra is magical.
