First of all, I LOVE Harry Potter. So to hear that there was a live concert version... I just knew I had to try it. The only thing I regret was not sitting right in front of the orchestra. The TSO was AMAZING with their scoring and was so seamless with the movie that I almost forgot it was all live. I’m planning to watch every Harry Potter live-concert available in Toronto because I can’t get over how authentic and exhilarating the TSO made the movie (I have to start saving for Deathly Hallows in May!). My favourite part is watching the orchestra during really intense moments. During a movie, the scoring gives you the feeling you’re supposed to have during a scene, but watching the scoring live makes you appreciate what you’re feeling. My recommendation: spend the little bit extra to sit closer. I can’t imagine how amazing it would be to be able to watch and listen to the orchestra that closely while simultaneously enjoying Harry Potter. Also - don’t be afraid to go alone! I was too late to get good seats in pairs of two, but going alone was not a problem. Everyone in the hall was cheering and shouting throughout the movie. So it felt like a unified experience. Start buying your tickets, folks!
