This is pretty cool. If you're thinking of going I would suggest pulling the trigger. I'd recommend against the very front row that I had maybe aim 10 rows deep for a more complete view of the orchestra.
This show was absolutely amazing and so well performed and presented. Will be buying tickets to any future ones, we loved it! Only complaint was that there should have been maybe two intermissions and more bars so that people could actually get drinks without missing any of the performance. Line ups for bathrooms and bars were so long that they lasted longer than the intermission unfortunately! Absolutely nothing bad to say about the performance itself!
We enjoyed the show very much, the musicians played beautifully. I personally was a little distracted by the movie playing and would probably prefer to just listen to the orchestra play the music from the movie without it playing in the background but it was still a really great experience and I would go again.
Weirdly, I couldn't feel any differences from watching movie in the theatre. The orchestra didn't sound like real or live with the movie was playing so loud meanwhile their playing. All soundtracks sounded like they're coming from the movie not from real playing by orchestras in front of me. Idk what was wrong. Maybe movie was too loud? Am I the only one felt like this? :(
Loved the symphony! Sounded fantastic! I was prepared to purchase loads of merchandise however none available on site. There was a few opportunities to make this even more magical. For example having a zip line above guests with movie related items to cross the room would have been really cool. Seats were quite uncomfortable
It was well and wonderful but it was not clear that it was the movie and not a play. Glad we went and my grandson really enjoyed it. If it was clearer we may have made a different choice. It really gave you an appreciation of the work that goes into making a score for a movie.
Unfortunately, I apparently did not read the words (In Concert), was I was expecting a Broadway production! Therefore, I was in the wrong mindset upon entering the performance; however, never having heard our symphony play in concert, I enjoyed the musical/movie performance. This is a classic movie and the sound production was amazing.
My sister in law and nieces attended the Harry Potter Philosophers Stone Movie with live orchestra it was like experiencing the magic of the movie all over again on a much more breath taking level. We can't wait to see the next movie in concert :)
They played the whole movie which was really neat !
