Hasan Minhaj is a two-time Peabody Award-Winning comedian best known for his breakout Netflix special HOMECOMING KING and his critically acclaimed, political satire show PATRIOT ACT WITH HASAN MINHAJ for Netflix which won a Peabody, an Emmy, and a Television Academy Honor. His second one-hour comedy special THE KING'S JESTER premiered on Netflix in 2022. In October 2024, Hasan released his third comedy special on Netflix, titled OFF WITH HIS HEAD. On Hasan's ongoing digital series and podcast, HASAN MINHAJ DOESN'T KNOW, he sits down with the biggest names in politics, culture, and tech with questions that are as thought provoking as they are absurd. In the debut episode, Hasan spoke with Senator Elizabeth Warren, and he's also welcomed John M. Chu, JJ Redick, Bernie Sanders, and Stacey Abrams, among many others.
He will next star in Disney's TRON: ARES that will be released theatrically in October 2025. Hasan is the co-founder and chief executive officer of 186K Films, which is currently in development on their first feature film. He is co-writing the script with Prashanth Venkataramanujam and will star in the film. Hasan was most recently seen in Sony's blockbuster film, IT ENDS WITH US as well as in NEON's comedy BABES, directed by Pamela Adlon, with Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau. He was a senior correspondent at Comedy Central's THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART and headlined the 2017 WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS' DINNER.
Hasan has so much energy. I was captivated the entire time
Very refreshing to see smart comedy! Great show Hasan!
Hasan did not fail, as usual. The jokes were on point - relevant, immediate, and hilarious. Loved the expressions, humour, sincerity and overall vibe.
This has got to be the most fun i've had in a live setting. Be prepared for laughs, gags, realizations and tons of introspection from Hasan which will give you insights into your own life.
It pains me to say this, but I didn’t enjoy this show. It felt too much like a self-promotion tour and a rebuttal to all his critics: rehashing his old material and further qualifying it with funny stories. Many of the jokes were funny, but overall the content was too much about him and a promotion of his culture, which I didn’t enjoy (and I am from the same culture)
Surprisingly this is his best show ever. I was positively surprised.
This show was a whole *experience*. Everything from the lighting to every second of Hasan’s delivery was a storytelling masterpiece. Walked away feeling truly filled with joy, and pride in Hasan for all he’s done to bring meaningful representation for the brown and Muslim communities. Was completely moved by his journey 💜 Hasan’s dedication to his craft is immediately evident and is absolutely inspiring!!
Hasan and his openers had a great show. It was energetic, funny and engaging. However, my friends and I wished the camera zoom on the performers could have had some versatility. It was the same upper body shot the whole time and it would have been nice to see a zoom in of the performers’ faces and facial expressions at times. I could not see their faces well at all from my seat on the back floor.
Amazing show, hilarious call-outs to the Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi immigrant community in the arena. His other work was better but will definitely come back for Hasan! My parents might be more prouder of him than me!
I ve always loved Hasan’s show but watching his life ! can’t put into words how amazinggg it was!
Show was great. Loved Hasan Minaj. But show started an hour late that is disrespectful of peoples time. It was 10 PM show and starting hour late ruined the mood. Stadium was too big and screens were too small. People sitting all the way behind didn’t get to see clearly. At least screens attached should have been bigger. For Hasan Minaj I give 5 stars but because of these 2 points I’ll give overall 2 stars
This event was absolutely amazing. Refreshing content and fun to enjoy with the family.
I was front row for the 7:00 show on the 11th. Hasan was brilliant. It was emotional, it was insightful, and hilarious. I loved it so much. I can't wait for my favourite racoon on Adderall to come to Toronto again.
Loved the show! The venue could be improved though... A lot of issues with seating, which was very distracting.
This show had the potential to be great but lacked alot, i am going to review the event experience rather than the comedy. The comedy was not political which is supposed to be hassan stlye but ah well. The whole phone thing was horribly planned, we were given our seat numbers on a sticky note pre security where eveyone has to empty the pockets i.e most ppl would lose the slip, i was one kf them. Rather than providing another slip or the ushers having a digital list on an ipad or so we had to go back to open our phones from pouches that had no strap and very small considering phones are massive now, so you might need to 2 to 3 pouches for phones, watches, and any other electronics. You have to constantly worry about lossing it with sub par opening acts that were not funny as all, looked more improv than professional. I would not recommend this event or this style again. I get it content is scarce but this was ridiculous
Didn't know what to expect and then loved every moment of the experience. The Yondr system ran smoothly and making it a cell-phone free event greatly enhanced the experience forcing us to stay in the moment and focus our attention to Hasan! it's Brilliant. And, Hasan Minhaj is a performance Genius, as are his marketing/media team mates. Bravo!!
I saw Hasan the last time he came to Toronto and somehow he’s managed to best himself. He’s really perfecting his craft and it’s incredible to see him lean into physical comedy more as well. He is so amazing at weaving in and out of knee slapping comedy and serious or sentimental topics. He is an outstanding comic and I can’t wait to see him again on his next tour.
Excellent show. Hasan Minhaj is the best. But venue was poor.. sound was not good...
Hasan Minhaj was absolutely wonderful! He is brilliant at storytelling and knows how to balance being hilarious and serious. And he’s also really good with on the spot jokes as he improvised one part when audience members said they couldn’t hear him sitting from the back. With that said everything about the show was great, however what sucked was the venue. The venue felt like it was something out of the 1900s. There was no AC at all and they had fans going on only towards the end of the show, it was so humid and gross. Also there were no cup holders in the seats?! Simply outrageous as you had no where to put your drinks, even a movie theatre will have cup holders. If you’re going to sell drinks at a venue makes zero sense why there wouldn’t be cup holders. The bathroom was also disgusting as toilet water was leaking all over the floors. Lastly the seats felt closer together than normal and saw one persons seat split in half! The Ricoh Coliseum is a joke and I only wish Hasan got to perform in a much better hospitable venue like Scotiabank Arena. Please renovate the Ricoh Coliseum.
Content was amazing, my cheeks were hurting ..so gooood However the sound system was not really good
