Herb Alpert Tickets

A life long fan of Herb Alpert who has provided decades of really timeless music. Proud owner of his very famous album and album cover, Whipped Cream and Other Delights. It was a treat to see Herb so effortlessly play his classics with all the video and pictures of his career playing on the screen in the background... a real trip down memory lane. His wife Lani Hall was in great voice, his band tight and terrific. Herb's easy back and forth repartee with the audience was fun to hear. Just a great night all around. So glad I finally got to see one of my all-time favorites.

This guy is amazing. Brilliant trumpet, great review of music we know, pleasant intro to the new music! I flew out from BC to enjoy this concert with my sister. We have been listening to him our whole lives. Catch him before he quits performing!

Excellent venue. Loved the old films playing behind. If any criticism the concert was too short! Would have enjoyed more time.

Really looked forward to this concert, had never seen them before but was fan of their music over the decades. Concert was great, good stories etc, but he played a short medley of his most memorable songs, I was hoping he would get back to them and maybe close with a couple of maybe Spanish Flea, Lonely Bull, Highway 101, etc, etc. At one point Herb said "this will be the first of of two closing songs, so don’t go away after it" or words to that effect. Which made everyone think it was going to be a short intermission. But the group then played for another half hour maybe then wrapped up and walked off, all done. No iconic finishing songs. I thought "OK we’ll cheer him back on for an encore". But all the lights came up and that was it, game over. People may have come from 75 miles away for a concert of one of their idols, and he left them hanging. Total time of the show, one hour 20 minutes, with no big finish and no encore. Yes it was good, as far as it went, but somewhat disappointing Herb and Lani and friends. Yes you are getting up there and we appreciate you still gettin' 'er done, but if you are too old to put on a great or even very good show, then hang it up.

Our only complaint is we arrived early to get wheelchair parking so my husband wouldn't have too far to walk but once inside there was nowhere to sit and we had to stand for a half hour until the hall doors were opened. The concert itself was excellent.

Such an amazing experience seeing Herb and company, I grew up listening to my mother’s albums and have bought them myself when I grew up.

Overall seeing a legend like Herb Alpert was a real treat. I grew up on his music from my grandparents and my mom, and I felt now, with my grandparents gone, it was the perfect gift for my mom. The show was great, he played wonderfully for 88 and his wife sang absolutely gorgeous! Our gripe however was we just wished there was more of the classics played. I have been waiting to hear Whipped Cream and Other Delights for a long time and a small brief medley of two of the songs was just disappointing. I didn’t enjoy the covers as much either even though I understand the sharing of songs. I could have gone without hearing a rendition from Rent and Barry Manilow when I paid to see the Lonely Bull himself.

So amazing to see Herb Alpert still performing at 88 years old. The concert felt intimate and heartwarming as he shared stories and answered questions from the audience in between the medleys of his incredible music. The backdrop of videos of his life and the musical accompaniment just added to the whole entertainment package. I could listen to Lani Hall sing forever, such a beautiful soul. You could just feel the love that they have for each other. No other concert can compare to they way we felt during and after the show.

Loved his energy and story telling during the show. Also great to see a legend play the hits.

So glad we held onto our tickets for the past several years and that Herb, Lani and his amazing band were able to come to Calgary to share their love of music at the intimate Bella Concert Hall. Herb moves easily from playing his trumpet to talking to the audience making you feel included with his musical journey. Heartwarming to see Herb & Lani performing together. A true love story for each other and for humanity. We enjoyed all the songs played. Would have liked to hear “The Girl from Ipanema” and the addition of more brass for some songs. Maybe have local musicians join the show. Amazing night overall. Thank you Herb.

It was a nice performance, Chatty, Light, Excellent Music. It helps that the Bella has excellent acoustics. The entire hall is better than the main floor at the Jubilee. I will going to Shania Twain at the Saddle Dome. I am hoping, hoping, hoping for the best. The only good Concert there - based on acoustics - that I have been to is Cher.

We loved it from start to finish... Brought back memories. Learned more about some people we really appreciated getting to know. It was a choice experience.

The concert was amazing and I'll always remember it fondly!!!! So many classic songs were played which I remember from my childhood.

Such a wonderful trip down Memory Lane with great music. Herb Alpert and his wife, Lani Hall were so engaging, it felt like a small intimate gathering of friends, with Herb sharing his memories of his musical and personal life. They had a wonderful trio of musicians that added to the enjoyment of the night. A truly special and magical evening and event.

Great show by a true legend!! Very entertaining and diverse show. Truly enjoyed watching an icon perform.

Excellent show. He brought back memories ( and looks like my brother) Trumpet playing wow. He still has it! Lani can still sing. They look so much in love after almost 50 years. !!! I was crying , clapping very emotional !

I could not stop smiling during the entire concert. It was intimate and personable and the signing and playing was of course amazing. One of the best concerts we have been to.

Such a great show! Nostalgic and upbeat. Highly recommend if they’re coming to your neighbourhood!
