    enjoyed all events

by Chute on 2014-11-07Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

moved along well with all events/ well organized, should be held with more evening dates versus during day; beer is getting a little pricey!!!

    Disappointed in new format!

by RodeoGirl125 on 2014-11-07Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

We love Heritage Ranch Rodeo and have been coming to this event for 7 years now. It is son nice to see 'rodeo' done the way we all do it on the ranch. In terms of the actual event and the competitors this is a GREAT event, however the new format is awful. The 2pm performance time really limits the people able to attend. We had to take time off work to attend the event this year which all of the other 8 people who regularly come with us were unable to do. I noticed a huge shift in the crowd dynamics this year. Instead of being a great mix of all ages this year we, as a young couple, we a minority which is very disappointing to see. To top everything off on the first day when there was actually an evening performance NOTHING else was open yet and of course in true Northlands fashion there were only 2 places open to eat in their food court and the kiosk in the arena RAN OUT OF FOOD AND COFFEE!!! Seriously COFFEE! This an event full of farmers! Instead of being able to attend the marketplace and cattle shows going on throughout the day we were sting watching the rodeo. Also only 2 days for the artisans to show their work and tucked away in a side hall yet again! Not cool! The rodeo was also shorter this year with dropping wild cow milking from the event list...yet another disappointment. Also disappointed that we cannot select specific seats when purchasing the 3 day package online like you can with single day tickets! I have to call in my order every year to sit where we want!

    good fun

by superdave69 on 2014-11-07Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

always good affordable entertainment. Only one problem, 1 evening performance and 2 afternoon ones! Most people work and can't get away for a 2 o'clock show!

    Ranch Rodeo provides great entertainment

by 56Billy on 2013-11-08Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

A more realistic view of a working cowboy's daily duties. Stresses animal safety and humane treatment, teamwork and good horsemanship. Perhaps not as exciting as professional rodeo to new viewers until the nuances and intricacies are understood. A great show.

    My family loves 'real' cowboys

by JJNBG on 2012-11-11Expo Centre - Edmonton, AB

Love this show, fantastic price too. My favorite moment was when my son told his dad that one day he'd be down there on a horse, like, when he's six.

Real skills from real working cowboys

by 56Billy on 2012-11-08Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

All working cowboys displaying skills they use everyday. Not hype or high pace and if bullriding is your favourite event and team roping is too slow, ranch rodeo probably isn't for you. If you appreciate working cowboys and horses, it's a great event.

Heritage Ranch Rodeo was so much fun

by WASN on 2012-11-06Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

What a great way to see all our Ranches compete and have so much fun doing it. It was a totally enjoyable event. There were two of us attending and my cousin lost her ticket last night - I was so impressed with Ticketmaster. They were able to replace the ticket with no further charge.

Family Fun at a Great Price

by JJNBG on 2011-11-19Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

My girlfriend and I took our kids to two performances this year. Its fun and different! The mounted shooting competition was a big hit, and so were the stock dog finals. Our only complaint was the incredibly loud emcees. The older kids covered their ears often and we had to move the littlest further away. There were a lot of other families there with the same trouble.

We have gone every year since it started & will continue to go. As cattle producers we incorporate a lot of the events these cowboys do in our operation so it is exciting to watch them compete with other ranches in what would be an everyday job for them.

    rodeo was excellent

by cowboybob on 2011-11-11Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

The ranch rodeo was well put on. I thought the contestants were definitely working cowboy and not "pros" . the seats were very affordable and very good viewing. Well done

    great action!

by Betch on 2011-11-09Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

We really felt like we were part of the action. The announcer did a great job of relating what was going on to the spectators. Our family has taken this show in every year since it came to Edmonton and we will be back next year too.
