Bravo to the organizers of the Esso Cup! This was a very well run event. Our families had a great experience. Amazing food truck, hospitality tent and great in game experience. Thank you from the North York Storm!
We went to watch both semi-final games of Men's Para Hockey in Quispamsis. Excellent facility and the volunteers and staff of Hockey Canada were super friendly and helpful. Watching these superb athletes play was such a rush. Fast hockey, great skill and obvious passion for the game.
I was excited to see that Team Canada was playing in a rink soo close to home and I knew I had to go. I went to my first game solo as it stormed that day and not many wanted to be on the roads. I was blown away at the speed and athleticism these players showed. Team Canada ended up with the win, 3-0 against Czechia and it was such a feeling singing O Canada after the game. I came back 2 days later and brought my mom, my 88 year old grandmother and my aunt and uncle came too! Each was just as impressed as I was my first night. These men are soo incredibly strong and resilient and wishing them all the best as they approach the finals!
Our team was undefeated , hence winning gold! It was by no means easy, and the girls just continued to forge ahead, even when down by two goals at the end of the second period of the gold match game!!! However, the refereeing was continually bad for all of the games I watched (19).
The venue was great and sandman centre did a fantastic job. The hockey game itself was a dud, boring. Unfortunately the Canadian Women never showed up to play and the American Women had their way with us. Better luck next time Canada 🇨🇦
We attended the women's Canada vs USA Rivalry game and I decided to also purchase the parking pass with our 4 tickets. Other than lots of traffic, the parking situation worked out very well for me. I have a handicapped pass and was able to park near the elevator. We had seats in section 117 and they were excellent. It was my friend's birthday and when we went to buy her a birthday beer, the bar tender gave it to her on the house. My partner and I had Steamies which were great. When we went to leave, we are stopped at the elevator due to a medical emergency, however, they accommodated me as I have difficulty with stairs. Because the elevator had limited access, we were able to get to our car and exit the parking quite quickly. All in all, it was a really fun, relaxed evening.
I find Ticketmaster's website an absolute pain in the butt to use! Dear gawd, improve your technology! AND I hate that people cannot phone Ticketmaster for help purchasing tickets.... Come on, Ticketmaster, hire staff & offer proper customer service!
The seats were really good. Great view of the game. Ticket prices were very reasonable. If we had more women's hockey played in the lower mainland or Roger's Arena, I would attend every game. Ticket prices are much cheaper than Vancouver Canucks' games and the women's game is so skilled
This was a great event. Promoting female hockey is always a good thing. Just wish there was an autograph session for the young girls to meet the woman that they hope to be like one day.
