    Already hoping for another tour!

by StrawberryLove on 2010-08-01First Avenue - Minneapolis

I went to see Courtney for the first time on July 16, 2010. I became a Hole fan when I heard "Violet" at 11 years old (2002). She didn't disappoint. After doors opened at 10:00 pm, there was about a 45 minute wait until Foxy Shazam played their 45-minute set. After another grueling 80 minutes of standing in a tightly packed pit, alcohol flowing steadier than ever, the lights went out and some sort of Classical theme music came on. Courtney was in a very talkative mood and went on about living in Minneapolis through the late 1980s (topics included stripping, writing songs in a basement 6 blocks away, and almost losing her virginity in the bathroom at First Avenue). The set was rather short, I thought. It was mostly because Courtney was late, and she was in the mood to do another encore, but the stagehand said no. The show ended just after 2:00 am. I met Micko Larkin about 20 minutes after waiting outside, and after changing my mind on the first chance I had. I talked to him a little, and he hugged me 2-3 times in the one-minute window. I was very nervous, because I knew his playing from Larrikin Love, and he just touched my shoulder and called me "love" with his striking accent. I gave him a sudden kiss on the cheek when he hugged me before he went back into the venue. I had a great evening. I'll definitely go again, if another tour happens.

    The Wild child of grunge

by Adonisreturns on 2010-07-18sound academy - toronto

She gave the same vigor she gave in her early gigs, requesting bras on stage, and fitting one on the bassist!! not to mention the wig! (it's crazy the things people wear at these concerts) The front rows were very squished but that didn't stop the crowd from screaming the lyrics and cheering the "beautiful on the inside" queen She didn't fully compliment and do the back rubbing with the guitarist though and she was the one certainly who was the center of attention for sure!! The band members change so often it's hard to keep up with them. the guard in the front was a friendly fellow and offered all the people in the front water... so hot and sweaty there! This is a promising come back, Heres malibu from the front row, sorry about the shaking tried my best to stabilize it...

    great show!

by kingtutt on 2010-07-13Sound Academy - Toronto

Hole was amazing! However, the first band was terrible. They shouldn't put a British pop band (or whatever that was) to open up for a grunge band, didn't get me pumped up at all. Hopefully this next decade for music will bring back some 90's grunge or anything better than emo, screamo, british pop whatever, etc. HOLE KICKS A$$!!

Courtney was like a live wire reaching everyone in the audience with her electricity! The crowd was hypnotized from the moment she entered the stage, and with good reason! She was beautiful, raw and interacted with the audience. Aside from that, her voice was absolutely breath-taking and tear-inducing with its sheer power and talent! The set list was a perfect mix of the old, the new and some amazing covers. Overall I left with such a feeling of awe at being lucky enough to have been a part of that experience, that I was genuinely heart-broken that it had to come to an end. Amazing show!! It was the best concert I've ever attended and yes I have been to many!!

    Courtney Rocked it!

When Courtney played her older songs she blew me away, I was surprised to see she can still rock the house down with her powerful screams!

    Hole was amazing

    by Tigerlily524 on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

Courtney Love and hole were about 25 minutes late starting but well worth it. Courtney ripped through classics like Doll Parts and Celebrity Skin. It was energetic and infectious and I would definitely see this band again!

    Courtney was amazing.

by BillyH on 2010-07-11Sound Academy - Toronto

I saw Hole on July 10, 2010, and I have to say they were amazing. I like Hole, but I had only heard a select few songs before going. I can honestly say I left the concert a "fan". Courtney was flawless. Her voice was superb, she was on point, and I had a great time. I left wanting to do it again. That was money well spent.
