American artist and Philosophy PhD candidate Tom Krell began releasing music as How To Dress Well via his blog in 2009. In 2010 he released his first official single "Ready for the World", following up a few months later with his debut full-length Love Remains, which collected the best of his early recordings. The album was a hit with critics and earned him a niche following, but its reception paled in comparison to his 2012 follow-up album Total Loss. That album topped numerous year-end lists and earned him legions of devoted fans, paving the way for extensive touring throughout the US and Europe.
