My friends and I got bad seats by accident so our necks were a little sore from looking up at the screen, but the orchestra was sooo impressive and deserved those 2 rounds of applause (there should’ve been at least 2 more rounds). Overall, super fun.

  • HTTYD score u will always be famous

by Vee on 2025-03-18Meridian Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a lovely experience. I adore this film and the score can really make or break it. I could talk about the movie writing, animating, etc but since the focus was the live orchestra I’ll talk about that instead. WHAT A BRILLIANT WAY TO BRING THIS STORY TO LIFE. What an incredibly talented and passionate group of people in this orchestra. I cried. I was shaking from excitement. And I’ve listened to this score so often to the DETAIL and man did they DELIVER. I think the only thing was missing bagpipes in like one scene but really what does that matter. It was so beautiful I got chills multiple times. Live music you will always be famous. And it was an experience! The conductor said to REACT and the audience DID. When Hiccup and Toothless finally flew together at the climax of Test Drive and everyone cheered! I’ll be thinking of that forever. What a great group of NERDS enjoying this film. I really felt like I was with my people. And the movie had SUBTITLES! It was such a pleasant surprise which is great for me (I can’t hear without my subtitles!) Overall 100000000000000000/10 if I could give it. I would definitely go again.

This was a very unique experience, same movie but the musical accompaniment was done by a live Orchestra. My family really enjoyed the performance.

I had never seen How to Train Your Dragon so this was a particularly fabulous experience to see both the amazing movie and listening to the music live. I continue to love seeing the shows with the TO Live orchestra

One of our favourite film scores, amazing to hear played live, and it was so much fun to see the audience so into it! Our teens loved it too.

Music/video was amazing, my only dislike was we personally weren't a fan of the loud clapping after every single song unfortunately.
