We attended the opening weekend of SJR hot air balloon festival. The amount of balloons was amazing, over 30! The first night there was no lift off but to be expected as it was day one. The concert area was large and didn’t leave you bumping into people. The grounds were INCREDIBLY clean; no garbage on the ground at all. Watching the balloons be inflated and lift off was beautiful. It’s an incredible experience to see. And to see them floating in the sky was beautiful. We went for the balloons, but the grounds had plenty of food and drink options, including water bottle refill stations. My only “issue” was there wasn’t much during the day to do. Yes there is a midway, but perhaps more vendor tents or a vendor market would do well for adults! All in all, it was an amazing experience and we look forward to returning next year.

Bonjour, Ce fut une très belle expérience, le spectacle était vraiment bon, j'ai adoré. Cependant, j'aurais aimé qu'il y ait plus de zones d'ombres sur le site, car il faisait très chaud. Croyez-vous que vous pourriez mettre plus de parasols ou autres objets afin d'avoir plus d'ombres? Merci et bonne journée, Francine

This was my 2nd return for the festival after 14 years. We bought the lounge access/experience tickets also, definitely worth it. Servers at the lounge area were kind and attentive. Portable washrooms in our section came with hand wash and flush also. However, the lamp inside the slot was not turned out. Other portable washrooms in the general area were not bad either. Sounds speakers had great quality, volume. Main show (Diplo) lasted for 90 minutes, we enjoyed it a lot! **It was lack of signage to get in & out for drives via Lyft or Uber (We came for visit and were staying in Montreal).

It was a great time. Fun festival, but nowhere to sit after I got my food. There should have been a much larger seating area considering there were so many food trucks. Who ever had a picnic table ate rather quickly because people were hovering around you watching you finish your food so then they would ask if you were finished so they could sit and eat. Although eating should be a highlight, it was rushed an unenjoyable. No where on the ticket or the website did it mention to bring your own table. Also , they should hire more toilet duty agents to prevent running out of toilet paper causing the portable toilets to be unavailable for all women and some men. Avril Lavigne was amazing as expected!

Thé show was great lots of things to do. I however thought there was missing a large screen further back for people who decided to sit as well as done for the RBC bleusfestival in Ottawa. Many people were accidentally ending up at the army base. And leaving parking was a complete nightmare. But would definitely go back. The rest is the experience of we fantastic

Une soirée inoubliable avec Charlotte Cardin. Nous étions dans la 4e rangée et nous avons adoré notre soirée.

The concerts were awesome. The Shirley and Avril were a joy to watch, but it was really sad to not be able to see the hot air balloons due to the weather. Anyway, I look forward to going back next year.
