About

Iron Maiden are one of the most formative bands to establish the heavy metal genre in the ’80s. Formed in 1975 in East London, the band underwent several personnel changes before releasing their self-titled debut in 1980. Iron Maiden’s sophomore effort, 1981’s Killers, was the first to chart in the U.S. and marked the final release with lead singer Paul Di'Anno. With the installment of frontman Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden released their breakthrough 1982 album, The Number of the Beast, which reached platinum certification, introduced two staples to the band’s catalog with the title track and “Run to the Hills” and kicked off a 10-year run of releases to land in the Top 40 on the Billboard 200, including their 1983 follow-up Piece of Mind and 1986’s Somewhere in Time. Dickinson departed in 1993, but returned in 1999 to cement the current lineup with bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris; guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers; and drummer Nicko McBrain, along with the band’s long-standing mascot “Eddie,” whose skeletal figure has graced the cover of nearly every release and become a signature of their live performances. Iron Maiden reached a new level of mainstream success in the ’10s, winning their first Grammy in the Best Metal Performance category for their 2010 single “El Dorado,” while 2010’s The Final Frontier and 2015’s The Book of Souls both earned No. 4 placements on the Billboard 200, marking their highest-charting albums at the time.

    They Played Alexander the Great!!!!

by Jonathan on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Ok, spoilers. But Somewhere in Time is probably my favourite Maiden album. And while I love Maiden, this concert (my sixth time seeing them) was even more special because they played 5 of the 8 songs off that album...including the 8 minute+ "Alexander"

    Maiden always delivers

    by Gsmall152 on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I've seen Maiden at least 6 times, and they always deliver. The show was great. I know some more casual fans have complained about the setlist , which is fair. Casual fans want to see 666 Number of the beast, Run to the Hills, Aces High , and 2 minutes to Midnight. I do too. That being said, Maiden has a huge catalog and they've got the street cred to play anything they like.

    Awsome visuals great music

by Lee on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Iron maiden puts on a banger of a show everything that you would want in an iron maiden show. The only negative that I have is I would like to hear more older songs!

    Great show

by Trista on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

It was awesome! It was my first concert, I went with my dad. Iron maiden was his first concert many years ago, and so we thought we’d make it my first too. I was shocked at how well Bruce can still sing. It was much better than I anticipated. As many live concerts singers just can’t pull it off like they used to. I was hoping for more of a crazy Eddie part, but some guy in costume was better than nothing!! And he did a great job on stage too. I am glad I went. The opening band Atreyu was also quite good. A bit different of a genre, which I wasn’t used to. But their singer was quite incredible. The only downside to the concert was their speaker setup. I feel like their speakers were not the quality I was hoping from iron maiden. It could be becasue we are the second to last location on the tour and they are already blown, haha. But I would’ve liked to hear some crisp, leveled out sound. The treble was sometimes painfully loud and screeching. Other than that all was good. Definitely recommend!

    Fantastic

by Peter on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This is the 8th time I have seen Maiden in the past 20 years. This was an amazing experience. Great set list with rare and new songs. Their musicianship is top notch. Bruce's vocals sounds better than ever. Happy to have my kids enjoy Maiden and to see so many young people at the show. I would always recommend a Maiden show to anyone.

Iron Maiden always delivers the best most energetic shows

by Eddie on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I've seen Iron Maiden at least 13 times and for guys in their late 60's they still deliver a hard rock show with loads of energy and passion. Their stage setup is always entertaining. General Admission Floor is the best way to see them.

It was an awesome concert different from their previous shows I've seen but still rockin good job on the merchandise tables for about 6 I believe and lines moved quickly also good job on the drink stand as they barely had any lines as well overall a killer night out on a dam Monday lol

    Good music, really cheap set

by Mitch b on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

After the legacy of the Beast tour, this one really doesn't measure up to the sheer spectacle and intensity of the show. Music was still amazing. I felt like a cash grab concert but you know I still got to see Maiden so it was amazing.

    Always a great performance

by Adriano on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The band always deliver a high concert experience to their fans. Iron Maiden is certainly part of my TOP 5 concerts in life and I was able to bring my son to his first Iron Maiden concert, to create with him amazing memories

    Another Epic Maiden Experience

by Jeffrey K on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Iron Maiden put on a great show at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Sound was good, performance was excellent, despite not playing 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', and 'Number of the Beast'. Good to see such a well attended event. Too bad the beverage prices were ridiculous. Opening act Atreyu was utterly horrible. I went to stand in the merch line while they made disgusting noise.

    Maiden: Always consistent, always incredible!!

by Powerfulbear on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I've seen Maiden 6 times now over the past few decades and they remain one of the most quality, consistent and professional live acts I have ever seen. All members are very much on point, the sound, live effects and stage show are always excellent and I appreciate that they don't just continually run through the crowd pleasers, but rather offer up a good snapshot of their work over the years (as best they can in the span of a live show anyway) that consists of deeper cuts as well as the tried and true favorites. 10/10 easily

    They've still got it!

by Hocket on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

They look a little longer in the tooth than the last time I saw them in 2008, but they definitely brought it. Bruce is in great shape and can still, most certainly, belt out those high notes. He takes more breaks than he used to but, if it helps him to perform at that high level, it's worth it. The rest of the band is, as always, exceptional. So, when Bruce was taking his breaks, they were lighting it up with top drawer, clean and tight instrumentals. Everything about the show was tight, including the theatrics. All in all my daughter and I loved it. My only comment is that I've been a Maiden lover since 1982 so I was hoping for more from their earlier albums but I understand the balancing act required to keep everyone happy. Get out there and see them while you can!

    Up The Irons

by Dencan on 2023-10-05Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I brought the kids and as a first concert Iron Maiden didn’t disappoint. The band played great and Bruce Dickinsons voice was fantastic. They played a lot of newer songs but also threw in some older greats. I can’t wait for the next tour!
