    The Essence of Christmas Spirit

by BeeCee on 2010-12-24Festival Place - Sherwood Park

The show was great, the venue cozy. It's impossible not to walk out of the show feeling happy and content with all that the season brings us.

The Venue needs improvement. It was uncomfortably warm. The second half of the concert was the best.....all very very talented group.

The actors did well overall -some I found to be over acting a bit - singing was awesome - the Hanes sisters could have had more authenic outfits - they wouldn't show knees in those days and quite full skirts - Stage props were awesome. Fire Alarm interupted the flow of the show a bit but I realize that can happen and everyone - once told - evacuated carefully and orderly and as it turned out we didn't have to be outside very long.

    White Christmas was AWESOME

by Tinahaus on 2010-12-21Festival Place - Sherwood Park

I went to this play with my boyfriend, my 17 year old daughter, and her 18 year old boyfriend. We all LOVED it! I was pleasantly surprized with the story line, as I have never seen the movie or anything. The music was well sung, the children were adorable and the main characters were believable and very talented. Every year, I try and take my daughter to something "festive". We have seen the Nutcracker Suite in previous years and we went to a small Bethlehem celebration last year. So far, this play has been our favorite. She immediately went home and searched our satellite system for the movie and set it up to record on the PVR so we can watch the movie on Christmas Eve. The only thing I would change is the microphone that the "consierge" of the Inn was using. It crackled often through her performance. Otherwise we loved it!
