Excellent spectacle ! Le visuel était super ! James Blake est un grand artiste.
I wasn't expecting much, but it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. The sound, lighting, song choice and musicians' performance were impeccable. James Blake, as well as being an exceptional producer, has one of the most impressive voices I've ever heard. An unforgettable experience
Had to leave after 3 painful songs because the lightning and vibrations (I was in the balcony) made me feel like I was fainting. I wish I had been warned before hand that stroboscopic lightning would be used - if I had known I would not have wasted 179$ on 2 tickets.
James Blake is amazing, the lighting, the sound is amazing too.
Great show. Was afraid he would mostly play his latest record but he picked songs from the majority of his album and the setlist was A1. Great of them to play everything live with no laptops. Excellent gig, can't wait to see him & and his musicians again.
This concert was so amazing! Lighting and sound were incredible. James and friends played beautifully.
Besides the fact that I could not see James Blake from my seats, his show was excellent. My recommendation would be to go if it doesn't take place at Massey Hall. His stage crew should have placed him in the centre instead of off to the side as anyone sitting on the right side were not able to see him at all. Certainly put a damper on my experience.
The show was AMAZING, James Blake was so good. I knew that it was going to be a great show but his performance exceeded my already high expectations. His stage presence was so great and I didn't expect for him to have so much swag! From start to finish of his performance I was in awe, I had a great time and I cant wait for him to come back to Toronto!!
James Blake brought us through his progression from his first single 'Air and Lack Thereof' right through to his brilliant new album. The event was sold out and although not necessarily a dance party the crowd was loving every bit of the set. If you have a chance to see James Blake on this tour do not miss out.
Was one of the best concerts I have ever been to! Three days later I can still feel that bass in my body. I haven't been able to listen to his music since because it just cannot compare to that concert.
Although the concert started a little later than scheduled and James Blake's set was shorter than I had hoped, I was still blown away. James Blake is a brilliant performer and his live music is a thousand times better than the album songs. If you've never seen him live, I highly recommend it. Money well spent!
What an AMAZING night! The entire experience was mesmerizing, overwhelming, peaceful and full. From the venue, Lees Palace, and the opening act, Active Child, to very talented James Blake and his bandmates - this was one of the best concerts I've been to hands down. I'm looking forward to seeing what James Blake offers up next!!!
This was a will-call ticket concert. Consequently I lined up in the rain for abouot 30 minutes to get in. That's after arriving early. Everyone else that attended laboured as much, if not more, to be there. Why? Because James Blake is amazing. At 22, he is unbelievably mature and gifted. He has a heavenly voice and sense of rhythm. And despite what people say, if the power went out and his korg died, it would still be an outstanding performance. He is backed by a solid, two-person band. He is simply amazing. If you are lucky enough to go see him, seize the day.
