The few hundred of us in the sold out room at the National Arts Centre were treated to an unforgettable evening of Jane Siberry magic. In a solo performance, she meandered beautifully between newly written songs and a selection of sweet and quirky songs from her long history. Heartfelt and loving renditions as she played guitar or the piano or played backing recording from her phone. Touching stories. Touching humanity. Touching beauty. I am Bound By The Beauty after that night. She reminds me of my dog. We’re going to get along….

I had to see this show and my partner and I were not disappointed! Jane Siberry live is a grounding moment for myself at her shows If you listen to Janes music and become familiar with her work You will have this feeling of being blessed that you have received this gift. We had not seen Jane Siberry perform for a few years....but she is back! Quirky, utterly original, and that voice, still crystal clear. A much enjoyed and memorable evening.

Jane Siberry has always done things her way. She wrote songs that were quirky and interesting. Her vocal style was unique. Then she opted out of the machine and released material online with few performances. And now, she is back, trying out new material in intimate settings, performing on her own. There was plenty of dialogue as she spoke of connection while connecting with the audience. A fascinating show that never wavered as she performed only new material, save one song.

Absolutely spellbinding voice, mesmerizing theatrics, superb solo instrumentation, and an abundance of refreshing, witty, and zanny humour, this powerful show left me speechless. Such an excellent creative production, it was over way too quickly. I wanted to hear her sing each and every one of my favourites, but there was not enough time. I can't wait for the opportunity to see her again!

The intimate setting of the West End Cultural Centre was perfect for Jane Siberry's return to performing as we know it. After years of intimate venues - including private homes - Jane is back. Was it the most flawless performance? No - absolutely not! Jane herself quipped, "whoops, that's some chord I've never heard!". She is a delight, an original; a true artist - humble, honest, open and truly wonderful. As a dream unfolding, a certain soft tension runs through her performance like a metallic thread - you don't always see it but its there, catching the light from time to time and reminding you that at any time, anything can happen. And isn't that what life is all about?
