Nowadays, Miami-born Jason Derulo has a greater appreciation for his R&B/pop career, particularly after an unexpected vertebrae injury during rehearsals for his 2012 tour. The painful accident sidelined him for several months and led to the cancellation of all of the scheduled concerts supporting his sophomore set, “Future History.” Now Derulo is selling tickets for headlining shows behind his third album, “Tattoos,” which hit retailers in Sept. 2013 and includes special guests 2 Chainz, Jordin Sparks, Pitbull and The Game.   After a performing arts school education, Derulo began writing songs for already-established acts like Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Birdman and Diddy before releasing his own work on his 2010 eponymous debut. Opening for Lady Gaga’s “The Monster Ball Tour” and the Canadian portion of The Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D. World Tour” helped solidify his place in the dance/pop world, as well as his chart-climbing, soul-laced pop singles “Whatcha Say” and “Ridin’ Solo.”

    Huge Jason Derulo fan here so I was really disappointed that he isn’t more “live” in his vocals. Far too much lip syncing which I expect at a minimum, this was a lot. Also didn’t sing some bigger hits, ie Cheyenne. The base was also so much that’s ear drums were ringing and sore during and after

    The show itself was only about an hour, he went on at 9:30 (DJ Joe Murphy opened for 20 minutes)and was off by about 10:30, as he was hosting after party at casinos nightclub. So no encore (pun not intended) and no merchandise was for sale either .

    for $62 it was an amazing concert with everyone dancing in their seats and he played all the songs we love to hear. Shocked we didn't have to go to the Air Canada Centre to see him for an exorbitant cost!!! There was lots of choreography and it was a high energy performance....when he took off his shirt nobody was disappointed!!
