  • Amazing Event!!

by ArashB on 2018-04-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

They surprised me with their great electronic rock music and unbelievable lightening! At the end of the event I was feeling so happy that I paid for that event and came for it. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

  • Fantastic!

I was wondering how he is going to perform in such a small venue (he usually does open air/large venues) but he was fantastic. The visuals were outstanding. The music very upbeat and entertaining. Overall it was a great performance .

  • Visually and musically one of a kind!

by Cervantes on 2018-04-22Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar LandRating: 5 out of 5

Jean-Michel Jarre is a veteran electronic music virtuoso that has been around for nearly four decades and bought his incredible light/laser show to Sugarland last April 10. From start to finish his music takes the lead even over the spectacular visual content. It shows very well on this compact stage he has taken on this short leg of his world Electronica Tour 2018 (8 cities), highlights include tracks from Oxygen, Magnetic Fields, Rendezvous and Equinox among a few. His holographic laser keyboard is something to be seen live, he plays multiple notes just by waving his hand at a array of lasers, just sheer talent! Jean-Michel plays mega concerts like the Eiffel tower, Egyptian Pyramids and even that old Houston urban landscape he did back in the 80's but if you have a chance to see him play these intimate 2000 theaters, I highly recommend that you do NOT miss this rare opportunity, a sure MUST and a Five Star *****spectacle indeed :-)

Best visuals at the QET since Kraftwerk in 3D. Loved it and would go again anytime he in town.

Jean Michel Jarre kicked off the evening with fantastic son et lumier. Dissapointed that Vancouver couldn’t have given him a sold out show. That reflects badly on Vancouver.

  • Jean Michel Jarre amazing show

by Anonymous on 2018-04-20Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The performance by Jean Michel Jarre was like nothing I had ever seen before. The music was excellent and the light show and visuals were complimentary. It was a once in a life time experience and I'm definitely glad I attended. I hope that he comes back to Vancouver as I would definitely like to attend.

  • Another excellent show from Jean-Michel Jarre

    by Galahad42 on 2018-04-20Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

This is the third time I have seen Jarre (after Destination Docklands in London and Paris - La Défense). It is the first time I have seen him inside, so it promised to be a little different. Jarre's staging is always in a class of its own,and this show was well up to standard (not to mention technically brilliant). He played a good mix of old and new music, but the one track I expected to hear but did not was Equinoxe 5. If I had to critique anything, I would say there was a little too much bass in the mix, and I did not like lasers sweeping across my face, even though they were not strong enough to do any damage. It would also have been nice to have been told who the support act was rather earlier. This was apparently Jarre's first show in Vancouver. I look forward to the second.

  • Brilliant!

That was all I expected from this electronic music pioneer!!! Unbelievable mix of old and new hits, crazy lazer, visual, 3d effects, wonderful atmosphere. Thank you QE for hosting JMJ rare appearance in North America!

  • Amazing

I must confess that I bought the tickets from an impulse of nostalgia, going back 30+ years when his music seemed like coming from another planet, fascinating and hypnotizing. I didn’t know what to expect from the show, but it turned out to be such an awesome surprise. His music sounded as fresh as ever and he brought and employed all his heavy artillery of lasers and all his sound-and-music effects. At the end, the audience was so hyped out, that nobody wanted to leave after his encores, he really had to get rid of us, as gentle as he could. If you have the opportunity to see him live, I strongly recommend
