    always room for Jello

by MIKS on 2010-10-20Rickshaw Theatre - VANCOUVER

Shockingly Jello was high energy and opinionated …. The combination of music, song, rant, and spoken word worked excellent. He played for 2 hours + and rocked hard the whole time.

    Post Demonstration Celebration

by dbavedb on 2010-10-18Rickshaw Theatre - VANCOUVER

There was enough hilarious anti-bad-government vibes in the building and raining down on the crowd to support a full blown moshe pit for the entire gig. Jello did not disappoint by playing for something similar to three encores. New songs, old songs, the mad scientist of satirical punk political commentary and metaphor was at his best (Yes even at his age). With a fresh band half from Hawaii, there were enough old strokes and new strokes to have you understand what a 'Holiday in Rwanda' means for this present reality. Great venue too. This theater has half the floor seats taken out, leaving plenty of room for a sitting, or not so sitting crowd.

Jello wailed and preached on the stage and he also did some classic DK songs which rocked! He was not afraid to crowd surf and made the concert unforgettable!
