    Everything's Alright

by D Smith on 2022-12-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Solid show. It is a show i try to see whenever i am in the same city as any production. First rate music and many recognizable songs it seems you've known all your life.

    Stunning

by Joany875 on 2022-11-29Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Such a great performers singing very difficult songs. This musical include very high pitch and super low pitch and they can did it so well. Never think of a story of Jesus can blend in with Rock music. Just stunning performance.

    Exceptional!!

    by M. B. on 2022-11-25Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

We expected to see one similar to the original but this production went far beyond expectations. It was amazing to watch the many talented actors produce one of the best performances we have ever seen. Thank you for letting us have the privilege.

    Jesus Christ Superstar was Super!

by Minor Chord on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

We have seen numerous productions of this musical since the very beginning and have enjoyed every single one of them, including this one! This show has definitely stood the test of time - makes me cry every time, and this was no exception. I wish I could see this one every year!

    Jesus Christ Superstar

by Odie on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed in a production. I have seen this particular Musical five other times and have enjoyed each one immensely however the vision and choices made for this production completely ruined this beautiful musical for me. I feel the Choice made to tell the story through dance rather than the poignant words and beautiful music was a horrible mistake and the actual meaning was totally lost with the erratic dance movements. I also felt it was rushed through to the end. Someone who has never had the pleasure of seeing other productions may not know that this has be totally missed the mark and I only hope I have the opportunity to see it again the way it was meant to be preformed. Thanks for listening.

Sharing Mics loses some of the emphasis in acting

by Kal0003 on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I was excited to see the show and bought last minute tickets. However, the theater in which I watched it has always been known to have problems with vocal audio when it shares the speakers with the orchestra. Queen Elizabeth theater needs to upgrade their Soundsystem and give dedicated speakers solely to vocals has even though I was eight rows away from the speakers it was hard to hear what was being sung. Also, the actors chose to share microphones and pass them around as each person sang, including using Mike’s with really long cords. The mics ended up becoming a distraction and prevented the actors from using their hands to help emphasize emotion. There was even a point in which Jesus was tied up, but there was a microphone stuck between his hands and the ropes. I found it a little ridiculous since the actors were already wearing hidden mics. Not one of my top musicals overall but the vocal talents were still impressive.

    Somewhat disappointing

by Cat on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Was difficult to hear the lyrics of music which made it somewhat difficult to follow the story line. Theatre - every few mins freezing cold air would push through ceiling vents.

by Paul on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Absolutely awesome. From the initial opening of the curtain to the standing ovation every second held my wife's and my attention. We wanted to watch it again. Set and cast were incredible.

    Jesus Christ superstar

by Patti on 2022-11-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Dancing felt forced and weird moves took away from the singers. Jesus was a bit dull and his voice wasn’t that good. Bright lights included mary and the crew who came to find and charge Jesus, over all too expensive for what is was. First disappointing broadway over canada I have attended.
