About

RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon (she/her/they/them) is the "internationally tolerated" cabaret icon who's taken over the entertainment industry as an award-winning actress, acclaimed vocalist, and theatre sensation. She's now competing on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 7 amongst a cast of all winning contestants.

Since gaining a massive international fan base, Jinkx has toured the world performing her original cabaret shows with music partner Major Scales, including highly-acclaimed shows like The Ginger Snapped, The Vaudevillians (which became a hit off-broadway sensation) and their most recent production, Together Again, Again (2022). In 2018, she partnered with best friend and fellow RuPaul's Drag Race star, BenDeLaCreme for their first major holiday tour To Jesus, Thanks for Everything! - Jinkx and DeLa. Jinkx and DeLa's co-written holiday productions have grown into a worldwide phenomenon, spawning the 2019 tour, All I Want for Christmas is Attention, a Hulu holiday hit, The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Special (2020), and The Return of the Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show, LIVE! (2021) which performed for sold-out audiences across the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

She is an award-winning stage actress, having won the Gregory Award for her portrayal of Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and most recently, The MAC Award for her show The Ginger Snapped, co-written with Major Scales. No stranger to film and TV, Jinkx has appeared on the CBS cop drama Blue Bloods, the Netflix original AJ and the Queen, and has voiced characters for such animated shows as Steven Universe, Mighty Magiswords, Bravest Warriors, as well as a few surprises that are yet to come! Jinkx has been the subject of two documentaries: Drag Becomes Him, and The Queens.

Jinkx is gearing up for the release of her new EP out later this summer, and has dropped the lead single for the project, "Know-It-All" written by Major Scales.

  • Best experience ever

by Stephanie on 2023-06-28National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

This was just an amazing show. It had a bit of everything. Acting, signing, comedy and also a wonderful message about self love. I can’t describe how wonderful it was. It was a once in a lifetime of experience

  • Underwhelming

by G. S. on 2023-06-28National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

While we love Jinks and have seen her 3 times here in Ottawa, we expected more from this show. There were too many monologues. Most songs were originals and to be frank, not that great! We hoped to hear her sing some of the songs from her albums, but she only did one, but that one was excellent! For a 44 city tour, as a solo act, you need to step it up! But we will always go see Jinks regardless because she is incredibly talented in many ways! She always brings a smile to our face and it's great to see her live.

  • Hilarious!

Absolutely loved the show! Jinkx is hilarious, beautiful and a delight to watch. Her band was incredible and the whole experience was fabulous!

  • Amazing!!

A one-woman show not to be missed! Great songs, stellar laughs, storytelling extraordinaire, and audience banter that kept us all in stitches. Missed a few of her mutters that apparently other people heard, but that's about it. The back-up band didn't miss a note.

  • Great show .. not so great seats

by Aussielad on 2023-06-24Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Jinx is amazing!! The seats are old and cramped and the metal sides bit into my long legs. Plus it was really hot inside the venue - at least the sight lines were good!

  • Jinkx was incredible. Sound guys? Not so much.

by Alexa on 2023-06-24Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Jinkx was incredible as I expected her to be. Absolutely fabulous. No notes. 12/10. However, the show itself, specifically during the musical portions of the show, was so loud that it was distorted. I don’t mind high volume itself. But when it’s loud to the point that the lyrics are completely unintelligible — at a comedic musical performance — you lose so many jokes!! So disappointing. Her vocals were amazing, as were the jokes (I can only guess) but I have no idea what any of the songs were about.

  • Good but expected more

by Jaz on 2023-06-24Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

Jinkx is incredibly talented I just feel like the show could have been filled with more content, it seemed to lag a bit, and I wish there was more skits and theatrics and probs and such instead of mostly just performing with a live band, which was great don’t get me wrong I was just hoping for more variety :)

  • Amazing show!

What an amazing talent - impersonations, singing, comedy and intellegence - a true renaissance gurl! Jinkx is a must see performer.

  • Just go!!

by Dessa on 2023-06-22Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

If you are even the smallest fan of the Queen of all queens.. get a ticket. The music was epic, standup was funny and cameos from stars like Little Eedie (sp?). The night will be one to remember for a long time.

  • Loved the Jinkx

by Beau Talks on 2023-06-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

So glad I got to see this amazing performer. I was with a friend who knew nothing about Jinkx except for Chicago. We were both blown away! Somewhere over the rainbow - not though stars for that special rendition !!

Show was a bit late starting due to venue issues, and I’m glad Jinx waited instead of rushed to hit a time mark. It was a fun night full of laughs and great music. 10/10 would do it again!

  • FANTASTIC

Quintessential Jinx! An amazing evening that did not disappoint.

  • Fun Show, but the Sound Needs Work

by Dan on 2023-06-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Jinkx is an incredibly talented performer, and this show was representative of her artistic vision. The downside is that the sound in the venue was too loud for comfort (and I don't normally get bothered by this), and at times it was hard to hear the lyrics of the songs because of it.

  • Amazeballs

by Dani on 2023-06-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I love that the show got real and relayed an important message. It made me fall in love with them more. I couldn't stop smiling because I am so in awe with Jinkx. Their talent is beyond amazing and the live band band was really really cute!

love Jinkx... thought there was way too much singing!!! Love the comedy in drag..... felt like I was at a musical instead of the drag show I was so excited to see. Just thought it was an OK show

Great singing. Awesome band. Loved the jokes. The back and forth between Jinkx and Major Scales was good. The finale was epic.
