    Concert was extremely short

by FrankYan on 2011-05-21The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

he himself was only onstage for 1 hour....what a cocky guy, he didn't even come back on when the audience shouted "encore". Terrible manners.

JJLin is a wonderful performer! The concert was too short and wasn't worth the amount (~$100+) that we paid for. JJLin only performed for 45 minutes while the remainder of the show included warm up acts. I've never been to such a poorly constructed concert and I felt that more time should have been given to the artist performing.

    Great concert, but short

by southpig on 2011-05-10The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

It was a great concert as JJ was amazing with the crowd: however, the concert was way too short. JJ was on stage less then 1 hr. It felt like it was a rip off since I paid $280.00 for less than 1 hr of seeing him performing. I would love to go to another of his concert but not for the price that I paid for that amount of time.

He started late and ended early...there were technical difficulties...no encore at all :'(...his guests spent more time singing than him!...and I was surprised/disappointed that he did not sell any souvenirs at the reception area BUT all in all this is not his (JJ's) fault... :) and the actual time that he was singing he was grrrrrreat so it was a average/pretty good concert

    Concert was um, too short?

by jjsawesome on 2011-05-09The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Although I have no complaints about not knowing an opening act, why were there two opening acts? And how come they sang so many songs?? When JJ finally came out, he was fantastic - his live voice was stellar and the fact that he sang an English song for us was unbelievable!! He's a great performer but the acoustics was off - it was soooo loud at some parts and most importantly, why was the concert only an hour? How could an international act have a concert and only sing a few songs + medleys??? And no encore??

For $100-200+ tickets.. it was way too short.

by MTS512 on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

My friend and I were super pumped to see JJ Lin live. We were so excited that we thought he was joking when he said "Bye". Unfortunately.. he wasn't kidding.. The time he spent actually singing was probably only 45 minutes or so. Other times he was just talking to the audience or taking a short break. We waited until 8 ish until he first came out. The beginning acts were obviously to stall.. I don't know if he was late or what. But him being late and leaving early just did not leave a good impression for all of the audience who paid, $100-200 for a ticket. Way too short. Disappointed with this event.

    Rip off.

by meltykiss on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

This concert was too short. It was only 1 hour 10 minutes or so. JJ himself only sang for 40 minutes and the rest were sang by other guest members. There was also no information on having a second guest, which surprised all of us. Also, JJ only sang eight songs but they were not even full songs. One of the songs were not even his song. It was by Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are. We understand JJ is trying to accommodate with Vancouver but Bruno Mars already came to Vancouver for a concert, and we prefer listening to him singing his own songs rather than other singer's song despite how SHORT the concert was.

    JJ'S OONCERT

by LilyLJJ on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

JJ Lin's performance was amazing, however, the time was too short. He sang less than 10 songs, and the actual time for his performance was only 45 minutes, the whole performance was only 1 and half hours. It made most of audiences shocked and disappointed.

JJ performance length not worth this money

by jchiang on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

JJ had a very good performance, but he only performed about 45 mins including 5 mins video. Concert were saying from 7:30-9:30 but it actuallly started from almost 8:00 to 9:00. First 30 minutes perform was not even JJ. I blame on the organization, ticket is too expensive, it is not even worth this much for a 45 mins show. Very disappointed with how they call it a "concert". The worse organizing concert I ever had in Vancouver.

    Amazing voice!

by Checkers on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

For JJ's performance portion, his voice and dancing were undoubtedly amazing and touching. I love his dedication to perfecting his each performance all the time. The organizer was however very unprofessional. Lack of communication with the audience to explain the technical difficulty and the turning on the light without letting fans to have a chance to cheer encore made it very disappointed. Can't see enough of JJ and seeing too much of his special guests. Whoever organized this disappointed JJ and underestimated his fans. I just hope JJ don't dislike Vancouver fans because of these unprofessional organizers. As long as I can see JJ, hear his music and support him, this ticket is worth it. Go JJ! We love you and your music forever. You are an inspiring true musician! :)

    Take the Money and Run

by Rooti on 2011-05-08Centre for Performing Arts - Vancouver

Disappointing to say the least. At ticket prices from $95 to $250 one would expect a show of a reasonable length. JJ was on and off in less than 50 minutes. Why come over from Asia if you don't intend to give your fans a concert longer than it takes to finish a bubble tea? JJ is a talented singer/songwriter/pianist. However, he is not cognizant of what it means to give a show which will leave a favourable impression to his fans. When he took his bouquet of flowers and final bow, we, and apparently the rest of the house in the Centre for Performing Arts were stunned and perplexed. Is this the intermission? Is the show over? You got to be kidding. He hasn't touched his catalogue of songs from his numerous CD's. JJ Lin? how about $$ Lin? The length of his show was an unconscionable act to his disillusioned fans. JJ stated he was happy to be giving his first concert in Vancouver. If this is how he treats his Canadian based fans, it may as well be his last.

    way too short

by mspanda on 2011-05-08The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I paid over $250 to watch 30 mins of singing?? That's ridiculous! Bad advertising on the part of the management team. However, JJ Lin's performance (though short) was amazing.. what a talented artist!

Ticket too expensive compare to the length of other people's concert. JJ only sang for like 40 minutes. He has a nice voice though, and a great singer.

    Very short Money grab concert

by KuoBao on 2011-05-07The Centre - Vancouver

Very very disappointing concert. JJ only sang 5 complete songs plus many very short/incomplete songs. I spent 100 dollars and he sang less than one hour. I will never support his musics or concerts and I recommend people not to support him.
