It was impossible not to feel the enthusiasm and unbridled joy that Joey had throughout his amazing show. Charismatic, funny and genuine, Joey took the audience through a memory filled evening of 60’s music. His incredible voice and energy gave the audience much to cheer. It was a must see show and hopefully Joey will be back again to carry us back to the 60’s!
I wish Joey had sung more of the popular 60’s and 70’s songs, rather than telling so many jokes in the audience. the Elvis skit ( with a plant in the audience) & the A Botticelli song. It may be a special song for Joey , but I wanted to hear 60/70 songs. Turtles, Zombies, Etc. If Joey wanted to show off his voice, he could have sang a Union Gap song instead of Botticelli. The lady was terrific. Her Cher impersonation was spot on. But they only sang 1 verse of I got you babe, which was disappointing. That was a huge 60’s hit, so sing the whole song.
We enjoyed the prelimary music and the Lengthy presentation by Joey, the band and the additional members that participated in the show. The facility is great and was very comfortable. The variety of music covered was especially recommended. Joey and the band should be invited back for another show in the future.
Joey Gregorash was amazing! He was very talented and his voice was beautiful with a range I was very impressed. He was funny, personable and his emotions during his performance made it so special. I would go see him again!
awesome brought back wonderful memories. Joey was fabulous plus his back up band wow they were exceptional. Hope to see all of them again.
What a Wonderful Event... Great Music... Amazing Musicians... Incredible Vocal Talent... A Wide Selection of Songs and Stylings .....Electric energy that lasted throughout the whole show... and the vocals and presence of Joey ...WOW... Did I mention What A Wonderful Event!???!.. AND...What made it even more wonderful was the Manitoba factor... Watching and listening and sharing with that homegrown connection .... Can't wait for the next time round!
Joey Gregorash is an amazing entertainer! He’s funny energetic and a natural showman. Great selection of songs from the Sixties and the musicians were fabulous! I would love to see him entertain again at Club Regent! Would highly recommend!
Joey Gregorash July 12/2023. My husband and I attended his concer last night. Absolutely loved it!! Waiting to here when his next concert will be.
It had been too long since Joey entertained and we were excited to go and hear him entertain. What a great evening. Lots of great music, wonderful stories, great audience interaction, some comedy, some touching moments. He had a great back up band. We especially enjoyed the harmonica player. He almost ‘stole’ the show. Joey may have not been on stage for many years but he hasn’t lost any of his ability! Well done!
So many wonderful memories of the community club acts that built a musical legacy for Winnipeg, and the 60s groups that inspired us all. Great production values and overall great entertaining evening Joey!
Joey's show was very good. My wife and I enjoyed the performance of Joey, the band, and particularly the two female performers solos. We are from the same vintage as Joey and the Mongrels -- brought back some good memories. The only minor negative issue we both had was that the show had a bit too much talking, and participating with specific audience members.
I think Joey is an excellent performer. Better than some of the acts he introduces. I would certainly buy tickets if available for another performance.
We really enjoyed the evening. Joey and the band were awesome! Joey is such a great entertainer. He still has it! His voice was strong..... The band and back up singers were very good. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely go again.
I had no idea what to expect at a Joey Gregorash concert. I bought tickets not only for my family and myself but for some friends to. All I can say is I was blown away by Joey’s performance. Not only does he have a set of pipes on him, he’s a very funny comedic man. The concert was a top notch concert with great songs, great band and back up singers. Joey kept us entertained all night from start to finish. One comment I made to my friend was that Joey looked great on stage. Not sure how many standing ovations the guy got throughout the night but when that happens it speaks for itself as to how well the audience was entertained. To say the least, I cannot wait to see another Joey Gregorash show.
It was an awesome evening of entertainment. The Regent venue is a great place for shows like this. size wise it's small enough so you get that more personal feeling from the entertainers. Great sound and sight lines. As for Joey he is still a professional showman. He was quick on his feet with jokes and stories from our younger days. The music was trip down memory lane, some songs we hadn't heard in years. I think everyone there enjoyed the evening thoroughly and left smiling.
