John Hodgman Tickets

This show marks the first time Judge John Hodgman (with bailiff Jesse Thorn) has appeared on stage in Toronto. This was, hands-down, the best podcasting show I've attended in any city (including another Judge John Hodgman elsewhere). His Hono(u)r brings both a comic sensibility and a personal sensitivity to has cases, whether they be on his podcast or on stage, and this show did not disappoint! I strongly urge anyone to attend this show!

Incredibly funny show. Fans of the show will love it and people who have never heard the podcast will find it hilarious.

I went into this stand-up show with high expectations - I've enjoyed John Hodgman's books and I know he is a core part of the Daily Show team and delivers consistently there. The stand up routine, however, was quite a letdown. A rather bland delivery and a rambling, uninteresting story made for a mostly quiet crowd, except for a few die-hard fans. At about the 30 minute mark, we noticed the first few people wandering out of the theatre, and about 15 minutes later we followed suit. One of the rare times I've found myself "bored" at a comedy show, I hope he can sort out some of the issues with the performance in the future.
