Frontier Touring and Love Police are thrilled to announce a tour by one of the USA’s most remarkable songwriters: two time Grammy winner and master storyteller John Prine. Prine was recently named Artist of the Year at the 17th annual Americana Honors & Awards, held at Nashville’s famous Ryman Auditorium
The legendary Prine – long considered a “songwriter’s songwriter” – will perform six intimate theatre dates with his full band in Australia and New Zealand in February/March 2018, his first shows in both countries since 1993!

Just a great event. Super musicians performing John Prine favorites. I would have gone back the next night if I could.
We have been going to John Prine concerts for years. We always feel like we are in his living room, singing along with his classics and part of the show. Shea Buffalo theatre is perfect place for a concert, great night out! Thank you JOHN PRINE!!!
Really enjoyed John and his opening act. Would of liked it more if it was just him and his guitar on stage. He played a couple of songs without his backup and you could hear his storytelling lyrics loud and clear ... backup players were great musicians but I found when everyone was playing John vocals got a little lost in the mix. Opening act was very talented her voice great and fiddle, mandolin playing fantastic. Maybe next time John comes to town he can feature a local acoustic performer as an opening act ... as a singer/songwriter myself this would be an opportunity of a lifetime. Thanks John for all the great years of storytelling.
Great concert from beginning to end, John Prine was on stage for 2.5 hours, and played a great mix of new and old songs...friends who joined him on stage at various times included Todd Snider, Sturgill Simpson, Keith Sykes, the Secret Sisters. Shovels and Rope were a great openers. Ryman auditorium co-starred in this concert
Amazing show and venue the headliner was also a show in itself!
JP was on point. He’s a great story teller and his band is tight
I just love the imagery in his songs, my wife could smell the clothes on the line, i can hear the screen door bang. I'm sitting on the porch listening. I can hear the rail cars leaving with the coal. It is all real and he has captured it perfectly. I enjoyed this music with my Dad and with my Kids. Thank You for this gift JP and please keep it up!
I travelled from Toronto to Chicago for the show April 27th at the fabulous Chicago Theatre. I attended the John Prine show there in November 2016 and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to go again when the 2018 show was announced. His gravelly voice is a bit more pronounced than 2016, never-the-less the song selection and performance was outstanding supported by four super accomplished musicians in his band. As usual he presented a warm up act that I would never have experienced and they were very good. A bit like Simon and Garfunkle and the Smothers Brothers at their best. The songs that they supported when John did some acoustic without the band were also excellent. Overall a GREAT show. One negative aspect was the catcalling that occurred throughout the show, often at completely inappropriate times. It served only to disrupt the flow on the stage as John was trying to set up the next song. One woman in particular should have been escorted out of the facility. John Prine is working through the limitations imposed on him by his health issues and he is doing it in a fantastic fashion. I wish I could attend another show soon.
This was another awesome concert. I. Could listen to John Prine every week.
