  • Johnny Reid was exceptional!

by ROOSTER on 2010-09-29Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed seeing Johnny Reid, i had seen him before when he was back up for Brad Paisley and didn't really know him then. This time i knew full well who he was and his music and i really enjoyed it. He is very personable with the audience which makes the show even better as you feel liek a huge part of the show. His stories were funny and memorable and with each one you felt like you knew him, like you could invite him for dinner.

He should get rid of the white shoes. Disappointed that he did not sing Missing an Angel

He was unbelievable and this was the first time that I was able to go and see him. I found him very gracious to his fans, his sense of humor was crazy and I absolutely loved how he involved the audience especially the children. Loved him and I will definately be going again.

  • Johnny Reid is Amazing

by Boo2257 on 2010-09-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed out night at the Jubilee with Johnny Reid. I wasn't really impressed with his opening act, they have talent, I just don't care for their style of music. I also heard comments about the woman being dressed like she'd just come from Walmart-the dress was way too short. Johnny on the other hand put on an amazing show. His music, though classed as country-not sure why as he plays everything, maybe it's because Country is the only genre smart enough to play him!, was incredible. The sound system needed a little tweeking-some feedback and the vocals were lost in the music sometimes. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy his music and the entertaining way in which it was presented. Johnny and his entourage seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and that shows to the audience. Very down to earth and appreciative of his fans. Great concert.

  • Johnny Reid sings with all his heart and soul !!!!

by Pebbles on 2010-09-21Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I went to see Johnny Reid in Concert on both Wednesday, Sept 15 and Thursday, Sept 16 at the Jubilee in Edmonton. As always Johnny was such a superstar. He sings with all his heart and sould and did a beautiful job both nights. We had an 89 year old lady in our presence, this was the first time she has seen Johnny Reid. She said she had never seen such a wonderful singer and you could feel the energy in the audience all night. She said she would be dreaming of Johnny all night long. I would have saw him all 4 nights if I could have. He never slows down and gives it his all. His audience appeal is commendable and some of the things he involves the audience in are heartwarming. His song dedicated to his Granny brought tears to everyone's eyes; even hardened men.

The show was absolutely amazing. From the opening act of the Stellas to Johnny. ]The first time I saw Johhny perform was at the St Albert Rain Maker Rodeo. I knew then that he was destined for greatness. He is a humble man that sings from the heart. Excellent show.

i have seen Johnny Reid and his band before, but this show topped all of them. He is a better human being then entertainer, which I didn't know was possible. The concert played his best hits and up and coming new favorites. It was an intimate concert with him sharing his thoughts being many of the songs and truly appreciating every single p[person at the concert. He treats his band with the greatest respect and you can tell he is very proud of them. he truly knows how to put on an amazing show and I recommend it to everyone to definitely check it out. great for all ages for sure ; )

We saw Johnny Reid in Edmonton on September 16; this was the third time we have been to a concert of his and I will certainly want to see him again anytime he comes to this area. I love how he interacts with the audience, always brings a child onstage at some point and how he always maintains such humility about his success and is so grateful for the support he has been given. He is a true gentleman and we should be proud call him Canadian.
