Country bass crooner Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable – and deepest – voices in country music. With his fifth album, 2012’s Punching Bag, Turner added yet another entry to a string of chart-topping albums, achieving one of his biggest hits to date with single “Time Is Love.” As a child, Turner honed his unique voice singing bass in church choir quartets before heading to Nashville to pursue his passion – country music. His platinum-certified 2003 debut Long Black Train was an instant hit, rising to No. 3 on the country charts on the strength of its title track and lead single. Sophomore album Your Man would peak at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, followed by 2007’s Everything is Fine and 2010’s Haywire, the latter featuring No. 1 hits “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “All Over Me.” Turner is known for putting on one of the most entertaining live concerts in country music, building anticipation among ticket buyers for his upcoming 2014 tour.

How many times did he ask if we were having fun yet? He also welcomed us to Rama several times. Tell us a story, something about himself, something that has happened on his tour. After every song the lights went out and his videos kept repeating while he sang....not too professional, in my opinion.

He finally did and I went with my son (19) who likes his music. He came out with his beautiful smile and it never left his face. Unlike many today his country music has country in it. His band are terrific and were clearly enjoying themselves too. I would go see him again in a second and my son had a good time too.

Two notes for growth...in Canada you must always do one encore...or you leave the audience confused...also, try broadening the subject matter of your songs...but yes you do have a nice wife, but try singing about other things also. This is definitely one of the most handsome and loving young artists in country music today. We sat 4 rows from the front and enjoyed his antics with one of the fans in the audience an elderly gentleman with whom he had some great fun. As Josh said "You can't write stuff like this" We will definitely be watching him on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader tonight on CMT at 7 p.m. Thank you for the opportunity of bringing this young man to our area.
