    Extremely hilarious and enjoyable

by Ravenholme on 2013-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I grabbed a few tickets to this when it was first announced probably back in mid July right when I heard about it. Without a doubt this show was totally worth it and the entire cast was hilarious. They did more than just script reading as they also did some singing on stage with that 40 piece orchestra behind them. This was worth every penny I spent. If they ever do this again I would go see it but the likelihood of this happening again is next to none, I hope I'm wrong on the latter.

The Little Mermaid will never be the same!

by TorGoofyFan on 2013-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I caught the 7:00 pm show on the Saturday and was so glad I did not miss this show. The cast brought out all of my favourite voices. The live orchestra was great, and allowed the cast to sing live some of my favourite Family Guy songs, including Prom Night Dumpster Baby and others. One of the hightlights was the adlib between Ms. Swan and Consuela. The best was the remake of the song from Alex Borstein who did a remake of Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid movie....hilarious.

Not bad, but not as good as I thought it would be.

    a night to remember!

by SweetandSassy on 2013-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The theatre was beautiful. First time attending and we were seated promptly. The show opened with Seth MacFarlane and Alex Borstein singing the theme song to Family Guy and I was smiling from ear to ear! "This is Awesome!" The rest of the crew came out with an introduction in character and the laughter started rolling. Thoroughly enjoyed the show, the banter and the swinging music from the 40 piece orchestra. Truly a great experience!

    JFL42

by Cherri on 2012-10-15Sony Center - Toronto

Louis CK was his usual hilariously nutty self. He always gives my abs a serious workout, and makes me pee a little ;) I liked the JFL42 pass idea but didn't like that we didn't have an option to just purchase a ticket to see Louis CK. I know many people weren't able to come out to see the other shows throughout the week but still paid the pass price. Maybe you can take that into consideration for next year. I'd love to see Bill Burr as part of JFL. He's non stop laughs. Let's bring him out here! Louis of course, keep coming ;)

    Louis CK was hilarious

by INTVJim on 2012-10-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Him and his opener, big J were a riot. One of the best comedians I have ever seen.

    Amazing festival!

by Jarok on 2012-10-02Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

What an amazing festival and such great value! JFL42 really took advantage of social media and smartphone technologies. It was very convenient to use my phone as my pass.

    Pretty funny but not hilarious

by Alittledisappointed on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I have seen pretty much all of Louis ck's material..and I must say I was a little disappointed with his Friday 1030 JFL42 show. He really saved himself with his encore bit at the end, but overall the material was nowhere close to as funny as his older stuff. Either way I appreciate his efforts in coming up with some original material and it was still pretty funny!

    Best comedy festival I've seen

by Jcohen on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I've been to comedy festivals all over the world — this was something special. I hope they never change the credit system and whoever cultivated the lineup...they hit all the right notes. Genius and perfect. Thank you for an unforgettable week.

    Way too much

by WayTooMuch on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This festival was way overpriced. The main reason I bought this ticket was for Louie CK. According to the Louis CK website, for all of his other shows "Tickets are 45 dollars, every seat, every City". For the JFL Festival, there was a $50 premium just to get better seats ($99 and $150). I realize that the ticket price was for the whole 42 shows, but if you are from out of town, you can't go and see the other shows. The Louie CK show wasn't that good so not worth the money.

    Louis CK- JFL42

by JDN1985 on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I thought the show and the venue were fantastic! the opening comedian was great as well. My only criticism would be the ticket pricing system. Don't get me wrong, a JFL festival pass for either $99.00 or $149.00 is a great value! however... if tickets were purchased on the closing day of the festival in order to catch the headliner/closing act of the festival (Louis CK) prices should have been lowered considering this is the only event a "festival pass" will now get you into. Just my opinion. I was more than happy to pay the$149.00 considering I was able to get front row... but had I been stuck paying $99.00 to sit at the back of the balcony...those tickets would be TERRIBLY over priced and I would not have gone.

    JFL42 was knee-slapping fun

by leblancers on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Despite having a Blackberry and as a result having a couple of hiccups with the credit system, the festival and the comics were spectacular. The folks at JFL42 were also incredibly helpful when it came to correcting any issues. Looking forward to next year!

Louis C.K. was great. The rest? Don't know....

by mgc232 on 2012-10-01Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I bought tickets just to see Louis C.K. That alone was worthwhile, although I notice that his regular tour starting this week has tickets available for less than half the amount that I paid. The rest of the festival included in the pass may have made up for the additional $45 or so had I attended any of the other events. I didn't like the fact that you needed to use Facebook or had to use an expensive smartphone to reserve seating at the other events.
