Kang Daniel on Tour
The charismatic South Korean singer and actor Kang Daniel is a storyteller, first and foremost. He weaves his personal story, including triumphs, disappointments, grief and fear, in a blend of genres, including alternative R&B, hip-hop, trap, and synth-pop.
His solo debut EP, Color on Me, was released in 2019 and topped South Korea's Gaon Album Chart. He released the EPs Cyan and Magenta in 2020, also topping the Gaon Album Chart. He won global acclaim in 2021, landing at No. 5 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart and No. 2 on the Gaon Digital Chart with the hit single "Paranoia." The final EP of the color trilogy, Yellow, was released in 2021 and topped the Gaon Album Chart, giving him his first No. 1 single in South Korea with "Antidote." Yellow was ranked No. 2 in Rolling Stone India's Best K-pop Albums of 2021 list.
In 2021, "State of Wonder," a single by Inverness featuring Kang Daniel and Anthony Russo, became Kang's first American collaboration. He released his debut full-length album, The Story, under his label KONNECT Entertainment, in May of 2022.
Kang Daniel Live in Concert
Kang Daniel (Kang Eui-geon) was born on December 10, 1996, in Busan, South Korea. He changed his name to Kang Daniel because Eui-geon was too hard to pronounce. A bible character is the inspiration for the choice of "Daniel."
He began dancing in a b-boy club in the eighth grade at a teacher's suggestion. He attended the Nataraja Academy, a dance studio in Busan. He then attended the Peniel High School of the Arts as a modern dance major with ballet as a second major.
Kang Daniel catapulted to fame when he won first place on the second season of the reality competition series "Produce 101." He was a member of the show's resulting boyband Wanna One. He began his solo career in 2019 and quickly became one of the most significant solo acts in South Korea, earning him the nickname "Nation's Center."
He made his acting debut on the Disney+ original series "Rookie Cops" in 2022.

I've been following Daniel's music career since he went solo in 2019, and I was so surprised when he announced he would be coming to Toronto and Vancouver as part of his First Parade World Tour. I already knew he is an amazing performer with a range of songs to suit most anyone's music taste, with hits like "Who U Are", "Paranoia" and "Waves", but he really impressed me with his dedication to connect with the local audience. Daniel MCed his concert himself in full English, sharing how he spent his down time in Toronto playing League of Legends at a local internet cafe, and his connection to Canada since he has family that lives out in BC. Danforth Music Hall was full of both dedicated fans (Danity) and also casual fans who appreciate his music, and everyone had a blast. I really hope Daniel comes back to Toronto again for his next tour.
Daniel was an amazing performer and live singer. This was truly one of the best concerts I’ve been to. You don’t have to be a fan to enjoy his stages.
I got to see my idol at last, it felt so unreal and I was extremely excited! The performances were amazing and Daniel is always perfect. The sound and light effects were great. I just wish there had been more instructions for the VIP ticket holders when at the venue. Also I felt like the Meet & Greet wasn't long enough...
The show was to begin at 8 pm (as posted on various social media sites) and when there were “technical difficulties”, the Danforth Music Hall came over the PA to inform us of the delay, which turned out to only be 10 minutes, and his show then went on without a hitch. He was entertaining and sweet; his English is very good! It was a family friendly (“G rated”) show. He was definitely not lip syncing because he was a buy out of breath after dancing and singing. He had male backup dancers, too. It was 1.5 hours of fun. When the lights came back on at 9:40 pm, the Danforth Music Hall AGIN came on to apologize for the delayed start, which I thought was classy. I would definitely see Kang Daniel again. Talented ~ and yeah cute too :)
Me and my friend has morning shift on the next day so we just want to stay for a hour and go, for we wanted to see the show, however when we got in it’s already 8
He was a humble sweetheart when talking to the audience. And an awesome performer. I'm an even bigger fan now.
