About

KIM CHURCHILL IN CONCERT:

Singer-songwriter Kim Churchill is taking his native Australia by storm with his strong, gritty voice and booming acoustic-driven sound. With his curly, sun-bleached locks and surfer style, Churchill cuts a laid back figure on stage, where he's often accompanied by little more than an acoustic guitar on his lap and a tambourine and stomp box under his feet. He’s truly a one-man band – whether he’s wailing out a harmonica solo while tapping and strumming his guitar on “The Early” or sweetly crooning on fan favorite “Window to the Sky”, Churchill proves to be a promising new act who’s captivating audiences on his must-see live tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from Down Under, Kim Churchill got his start at an early age, learning classical guitar at four years old and experimenting with various instruments throughout his teenage years. He began busking around venues in his hometown of Canberra in 2009 and earned the title of National Youth Folk Artist of the Year. He upgraded to bigger stages when he was billed for several blues and jazz festivals throughout Australia, Canada, and the US, and his performances on the road earned him a cult following. He made his full-length debut in 2010 with the album Sword and Shield, which received widespread radio airplay with the hit single “Loving Home”. He followed up with three more successful albums, including 2014’s Silence/Win, and continues to win legions of new fans around the world on tour. With his laid-back style and carefree tunes, Churchill takes fans on an unforgettable musical journey every time he takes the stage.

He is so talented, and such a sweetheart. I love how his shows are like a storybook album; he tells you the reasoning behind almost every track.
