KONGOS IN CONCERT:
South African-bred family band Kongos continues to gain fans around the globe with their boot-stomping sound and high-energy live performances. The band's four brothers possess an undeniable chemistry on stage, and their knowledge of both their craft and each other really shine as they tear through tracks like "Come With Me Now" and "I'm Only Joking". With their music receiving heavy radio airplay in the US and Canada, the boys of Kongos are ready and raring for another rollicking round of shows on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Dylan, Daniel, Jesse, and Johnny Kongos were raised splitting time between London and South Africa. Their earliest exposure to music came via their singer-songwriter father, who encouraged them to toy around with the instruments in his home studio. After relocating to their mother's hometown of Phoenix, AZ, they formed their namesake band and began to hone their sound. They released their self-titled debut album in 2007, supporting the record with extensive touring that earned them a strong regional following. They released their sophomore album Lunatic in their native South Africa in 2011, topping several charts in that country with the single "I'm Only Joking". The album was released in the US in 2013 and fared equally well, earning them their first stateside No. 1 with the anthemic hit "Come With Me Now". A phenomenally talented act with big things on the horizon, Kongos continues to floor ticket buyers around the country with their must-see performances on tour.

Went to see the show at the Métropolis. we were standing at the mezzanine level straight center row. the 2 opening bands were great and the sound was ncredible. However, the sound when the time came for the Kongos was bad. It completly sound death. I've seen quite a few shows at the Métropolos before and it was the first time it sounded like that.
First time @ Metropolis in Montreal and it will be a memorable one. The Kongo's were excellent. I heard a couple songs that will be on their next album and can't wait. Great Show Guys!
Incredible show! This was the first time I have seen them headline a show so it was nice to have the longer set with songs from their upcoming new album.
The smaller venue was awesome, it was an intimate show and I had a blast.
No words to describe their performances, everything from the effects to the sound quality and venue itself was perfect. The Kongos brothers did an outstanding job with their song choices and covers etc, sir sly and colony house were also great (bought both albums after the show). If you get a chance do not miss these guys, you'll have an awesome time. One of the Kongos brothers actually smiled at me while I was singing my heart out lol : ))) made my life.
Was a great show got to see 2 other bands which were also awesome !! Loved the Kongo's , fantastic show !!
