About

Larry the Cable Guy brings a hilarity to stand up comedy that most people simply aren’t used to. His southern accent, which he admittedly exaggerates, gives blue collar individuals and everyone else alike a way to relate to this hilarious funnyman. After getting his start by making guest appearances on radio shows, he gained quick fame on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, the comedian of “You might be a redneck” fame. Larry went on to have two comedy albums receive gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.

Those two albums, though, were not even close to the end of his story. Larry the Cable Guy, who has never actually been a cable guy, went on to get roasted on Comedy Central; and once a celebrity has made it to Comedy Central Roast status, it’s obvious to anyone who had tickets or watched the show that the star really “made it”. Fortunately for the redneck hero, this roast didn’t signify the end of a long career like it usually does for others.

In fact, the loveable sleeveless shirt wearing comedian gained his own show, Only in America, on the History Channel. He was even allowed into the White House’s War Room during filming of the show. What makes this story even more amazing is his actual humble beginnings; since it may have been difficult for anyone to guess that a little boy raised on a pig farm in Nebraska would one day grow up to be Larry the Cable Guy. As it turns out, however, that little farm boy really knew how to “Git-R-Done”.

Even with a sometimes busy schedule involving filming for the History Channel, Larry still finds time to tour around the country to let his fans know he loves them. Even children love the shows since the unlikely star lent his voice to Mater on the Pixar movie Cars. And for those who miss Larry in concert halls on the big screen, the December 2013 release of A Madea Christmas will undoubtedly be exciting. As Larry likes to say, “I don’t care who ya are, that’s funny right there”.

Went to see Larry for the first time, was not sure what to expect. My husband wanted to go, so I bought him tickets. Anyway, I loved it. It was a laugh fest from start to finish. I would definitely recommend to anyone (adults) who are thinking about going. His opening act was really funny also.

Went to see this guy. Everyone was laughing, It seemed most of the audience was enjoying his type of humour. For the most part it was clean accept with the odd slang and swear words, which in this day most would consider normal language, however there are some that wouldn't appreciate the swearing nor some of the examples he used. So I could say that Larry the Cable Guy has universal humour and could travel anywhere and fill the heart with laughter. For myself, I enjoyed and I was able to get most of his humour but I would prefer less swearing or actually no swearing at all. Again, there's nothing like a comedian who can lighten up the whole audience with good solid clean humour.

  • Larry The Cable Guy Delivered !!!

by Pegasus on 2009-08-10Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

My husband, two friends and myself went to see Larry. His timing is great, his talent is amazing. I watched many people wipe tears from their eyes from laughing so hard, myself included. I could have watched him all night. The guy that opened for him was also extremely good. He worked the crowd up to get ready for Larry ( he was very cute as well).

Fantastic! There was nothing that I had heard from Larry in his stand up acts on TV. Everything was fresh and new. Laughs from start to finish. Very entertaining.

  • Larry the Cable Guy is one funny man! LMAO!

by krippy on 2009-08-10Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Larry is one funny guy. The show was great, we laughed the whole time! Would definately like to see him again & recommend it to anyone who likes a good laugh! We didn't hear one negative thing from anyone after the show. Although, the Casino really needs to do something about parking, it was insane. I think it's ridiculous to spend money on an event & almost miss the beginning because of no available parking. For a venue like that they should be more organized & accommodating to ticket holders. Amazingly funny man & definately recommend!

  • Larry kept you in stitches!

Larry was worth every penny, he keeps you in stitches through the whole show. He has such a natural talent about him. Definitly worth the wait in traffic for.

Show was entertaining, I laughed alot, but wasn't satisfied by end of show, felt like something was missing. I can now say I have seen Larry, and that's about it, I wouldn't spend money to go see him again. Plus what is being charged for Larry " Git er Done" items is crazy. $30.00 for a baseball cap that says "Git er Done" is just crazy leave to the " rednecks" to buy em at that price . And Yes I am a redneck who's smart enough to know better.!!!!!!!!

  • Larry was everything we wanted.

by sibby on 2009-08-10Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 3 out of 5

There was absolutely nothing wrong with Larry's performance. It was very impressive. The casino's seating was not as impressive. The seats tilted forward and were very hard. I was not comfortable at all during the performance. Luckily, the performance itself was stellar. I am shocked at Casino Rama.

What a show, I have watched Larry on TV numerous times and have hais CD, every part of his act was entirely new, whhich was awesome. We went to the 1:00 show which was great, had lots of time for the casino before and after the show. What away to relieve the daily stresses of life, nothing better than laughing you a$$ off for the etire show. If anyone has the chance to see Larry I would definitly recommend it.

  • Made me laugh so hard I was in tears

by Wendenator on 2009-08-10Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

My BF and I went to the 1 pm show and I must say WOW what an awesome afternoon. The opening act was a great start to the main event. We laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. The only thing that was bummer about it was being in a small chair with 5000 people around you and someone farting, boy it stank LOL, but the laughs out weighed the smell by far. Would see Larry again in a hearbeat. THX for an awesome afternoon. Wendenator :)

  • Larry the Cable Guy - Got-R-Done

by waggles on 2009-08-10Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

Larry the Cable Guy was definitly unforgettable. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time and I haven't seen my husband laugh that hard either. We only wished that our son was old enough to see him. He is a real Larry the Cable Guy fan and is as much of a "redneck" as we have seen. We would definitly go see him again. We also enjoyed his opening act.

It would have been nice to have some Canadian content in Larry's show with the amount Larry made from the 2 shows at Casino Rama. Venue was great. Seats were great. Had a good laugh.
