LEE WILLIAMS IN CONCERT:

Mississippi gospel hero Lee Williams has been an inspirational presence on the live circuit for more than four decades. Together with his quartet The Spiritual QC's, Williams spends 50 weeks a year on the road uplifting audiences with brilliant harmonies and faith-based devotionals like "He Laid His Hands on Me" and "I Can't Give Up". At their live shows the group mixes traditional gospel with red-hot blues and soul to deliver an upbeat concert experience that always leaves ticket buyers feeling energized and spiritually strengthened.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Tupelo, Mississippi-born Lee Williams and his quartet The Spiritual QC's started performing on the gospel circuit in the late '60s. For nearly three decades they toured part-time while Williams split time as a truck driver, but it wasn't until the late '90s that they began recording their music. Their 1996 debut album Jesus Is Alive and Well planted them firmly on the gospel radar, earning them their first hit with the song "I've Learned to Lean". In 2000 the group released Good Time: Live in Memphis, an acclaimed collection that cracked the Top 10 of Billboard's gospel chart and set the stage for a string of honors including Traditional Quartet of the Year at the Gospel Music Excellence Awards and a Best Gospel Album nomination at the Soul Train Music Awards. Since then the band has released a half dozen more albums of beloved gospel spirituals and proven themselves a tireless touring act known for spending most of the year on the road.
