I sort of went to this hesitantly because I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but I ended up being thoroughly entertained. The actors were beyond impressive and the energy of the musical never faded. It kept me laughing and smiling the whole time, as well, as a taking a nice take home message of appreciating what you've got. I really enjoyed the parts where they digressed from the movie as well. It is quite racy and explicit so I would question whether it's appropriate for children.
Legally Blonde was a nice bit of fluff, but if you didn't know the story from the movie, it would be hard to follow. Most of the dialogue is sung, and it was difficult to understand any of the words, since the majority of it is sung in high pitched, young women voices. The show is fun, however. Well danced, funny and cute, and all the performers were excellent. in short, a pleasant, light-weight evening out. Not one I would see over and over again whenever it came to town.
True to the movie version, this musical performance of Legally Blonde keeps your full attention from beginning to end. Not only will you be humming these songs (out loud as well as in your head) for days, but the performer's characters will stay in your memory forever. Excellent singing, dancing, and a healthy dose of cheeky humour adds up to a lively musical! The smooth set changes kept the scenes moving without any pause in the action. I'll never look at UPS drivers the same again.....
legally blonde was ok but definately not a show I would recommend
The show was very good the music was also very good.
veeeeeery good show! amazing production. i would see it again.
Very funny, great dancing and singing and really covered the story well.
my daughter and i went and it was a wonderful night out for us both......we really enjoyed the show......very comical and pretty much true to the movie
It was great! Took my 15 year old and we both loved it!
Not really knowing what to expect I must say it exceeded my expectations. Some of the characters were really great, all the rest were really good. The costumes were wonderfull.
The show was great. My 11 yr. old daughter and I really enjoyed the song, "Oh My God!". It was really based on the movie and it made sense to her. Loved it!!
I had no expectations when I went and when it started I was a little concerned I was in for 2 hours of torture. I was wrong!! I haven't laughed so hard in years! It was beyond ridiculous at parts, jokes and expressions making me laugh outloud throughout. I was surprised by the amount of children and young teens and wouldn't recommend parents bringing them as it is full of sexual comments, homosexual content, and gyration! Enjoy!
The material of this show is terrible, and the performances weren't much better. There was a distinct lack of energy and enthusiasm. The stage seemed small and meant that the show had no spectable. Don't bother seeing this show!
Legally Blonde was better than I expected, I bought my tickets the day before the show. The cast did an amazing job. I would recommend this show to anyone that liked the movie.
I had a smile on my face the entire time! Absolutely fantastic show!!!
A wonderful show presented with such energy talent and fun. Well worth the trip from the Island to see such a fabulous show .
What a disappointment. I knew the show would be cheesy, pink and girly but I expected better technical performances. The sound in the theatre was terrible and for the most part, sitting in row 19, we couldn't understand a word that was sung. Overall I preferred the performances by Elle's brunette friend and the woman that played Brooke was excellent as well. Elle was annoying and uninteresting at the best of times. Her voice was pitchy and inconsistent. As a general rule I prefer female voices but in this musical, the men outshone the women entirely. I'm glad I only paid half price for these tickets. Let's hope Broadway Across Canada's upcoming WICKED production is better than this effort.
...but from where we were sitting, we couldn't hear every word, so a lot of the banter was lost on us. Ither than that, we enjoyed the production.
The casting for this musical was great. The dances were well choregraphed and the lyrics were clever. This is good family event with the exception of a " racey words" .
