    Lenny is a Legend

by crocifixia on 2016-09-26Scotiabank WCOH Fan Village - Toronto

Considering he stepped in last minute to replace Green Day who were ill and couldn't perform, it was great! For 35$ in the open space of the WCOH east fan village (near the distillery district) this was a perfect way to spend a Friday evening. Listening to Lenny and his incredibly talented band made me feel that I was in the 70s listening to real musicians, with their funky, pschyadelic sounds.

    Great artist, good venue

by Stewy17 on 2016-09-26Scotiabank WCOH Fan Village - Toronto

I bought the tickets to see Green Day and decided to see Lenny Kravitz when they cancelled. Lenny and his band were awesome! The crowd was not as energetic as they could have been for a concert. Sight lines were good and there was lots of space to dance.

Overall, Lenny and the other accompanying artists on stage with him were great. The sound quality was great but the volume could have been turned up! I wish there was some pant splitting action too ;)

    Are you going his way

by Roanna on 2015-08-31Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

This was the 4th time seeing Lenny Kravitz, and it's been awhile since he was in Toronto. I've never been disappointed, he always puts on a great show, the energy is amazing, the band is phenomenal, and the fact that he manages to jump around the stage like that is pretty awesome. However, for the 2 hour show he put on, he apparently played 10 songs, though honestly it felt like he only played 5. The musical interludes while awesome, were long...and he totally could have fit in another 5 songs All in all a good show

    LOVE still rules!

by TNEWMAN on 2015-08-30Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Where do I begin? My fifth time seeing Lenny and it is hands down, the best concert to date. So much energy, genuine attention given to us fans, superb voice and musicianship from he and the band. Cindy is back and we missed you! So many of the favourites but a couple of good surprise songs like "Sister" were sweet to the ears. Really showcased the band and it was gracious and fun. Danced the entire 2+ hours. I will always LET LOVE RULE!

    Really Lenny?

by JohnnyC61 on 2015-08-30Meadow Brook Music Festival - Rochester Hills

First off I am a HUGE fan... after this show, I need to admit that my fan status has come down and has me questioning to ever see his show live again. Lenny's new album is called STRUT, a great album that has only 1 song on it that I skip over. The tour is called STRUT... going into the show I had the thought of hoping he still plays his old stuff and not just the new, even though I like the new music... Well Lenny did do that... only 1 song! Not even one of his best of the new album... Frankenstein??? I woudl have assumed that at least he would have played Strut, The Chamber, She's a Beast and maybe Sex, NYC or Dirty White Boots as one of the forth songs. Now lets move onto the show it self… Starts off great, then part way in we start to get the “musicianship” coming out… playing songs we know with small twists to make them sound different. Then we have the trumpet solo… a very very LONG trumpet solo…. When I think of the year of following Lenny, listening to his music a TRUMPET just doesn’t come to mind. In fact a saxophone does, but his sax player only had a little time to shine, which actually is the appropriate time, but giving more time to the trumpet? Could have inserted a song from the new album there. Now for the biggest issue with the show. LET LOVE RULE… great song, in fact Lenny decides to go into the audience. Like many artists today, going into the audience and walking to the back area of the stadium is common. However the time required to do this allows the artist to play different songs. Lenny however… still plays Let Love Rule… At the point that he finally gets to the stage and I can hear the people around me talking all of which are saying to move onto another song, Lenny proceeds to end the song, ONLY to then ramp the song back up again to a different version of Let rule. At this point we are 20 – 25 minutes into the song. There were a few more songs he played after that which got the energy back up in the room but shortly ended the concert. I left the concert feeling that for 2 hours and 15 minutes I had only hear a few songs… So I went online to see past show set lists as well as the show I attended… 11 songs! That’s it. My calculations show 135 minute show, with an average time of 5 minutes per song would equal 27 songs. In short, so many great songs missed, so many new songs ignore and Lenny not even knowing what the crowd is feeling… The vibe certainly wasn’t the crowd at 100% loving it… Side note – don’t even get me started on the production value… Paying the same price for most artists and seeing a show that has no lighting rig with the exception of some par cans, all of which are white light??? Come on, take a look at what other artists tour with for the same dollar value as your ticket. A LOT for show for the same dollar…

    Lenny was great, band exceptional!!

by Boredtodeath on 2015-08-29Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Great performance, but sometimes songs went a little too long as he let the band go nuts with their solos...no need for some songs to go 20-25 minutes, cut it shorter and play more songs (lots to choose from)...

Lenny Kravitz is by far the most talented, sexy and amazing musician and artist! If you have never seen him live, you really should. I can guarantee you would not be disappointed. ;)
