  • Absolutely incredible!

we had 4th row seats in Toronto when we saw the same show. For this time we were in the first row of the mezzanine. I think these seats were almost better. It was once again an amazing experience. Thank you to all those involved in making this possible.

  • Bright lights

I’ve seen Les Mis a number of times in theatres across Canada, and I have always loved it! This time was no different. What was different was the shocking, blinding house/spot lights that came on part way through the first half. And stayed on for quite a while. Did someone lean against some light switch somewhere?! Anyway, it took me out of my Les Mis momentum— a very rude return to reality.

The performance was excellent. I had seen this musical in Toronto 11 years ago. I always wanted to see it again and was very happy with the performance I saw on Sunday. I sat in the balcony seats and had an excellent view of every scene. Not to mention the professionalism of the NAC staff members and the comfort and class of the NAC. Thank you ❤️

I had the pleasure of watching Les Misérables in Ottawa two days ago, and it was an unforgettable experience. The voices were nothing short of angelic, bringing each song to life with incredible emotion and power. The set design was masterfully executed, transforming seamlessly to capture the essence of each scene, enhanced by multiple effects that created a surreal and immersive atmosphere. The acting and singing were so deeply moving that the audience experienced the full range of emotions, from laughter to tears. This brilliant staging, hailed as 'a reborn dream of a production,' perfectly captured the timeless story of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice, and redemption. The iconic score, featuring classics like 'I Dreamed a Dream,' 'On My Own,' 'Bring Him Home,' and 'One Day More,' resonated deeply, making this production a true testament to the enduring power of the human spirit.

Love the live music. For future improvements, you may want to make the costumes of the main male characters identifiable or consistent for the audience on the balcony. If they don’t know the story first, they would have hard time identifying the same person who has aged or changed costumes.
