My daughter is still asking why little bear grew up. Little bear was no longer little bear, but a very large, thin daddy bear to look at. She still clapped and sang to the music, but was very disappointed that little bear didn't come to the show.

I took my 3 year old daughter to see Little Bear. It was very cute and the songs were enjoyable. She liked participating in songs and "yelling" when asked to. The characters were great and voices very real, compared to cartoon. It was very cute, and funny for me. She loved Emily, who did a great job! I would tell anyone with a preschooler to go!

    Little Bear

by fila32 on 2009-11-29Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

It was short. I realize that it needs to be short with kids, but the break was 1/2 hour and the production was only an hour. Also, there wasn't much of a story line.

    Little Bear-iffic!!!

by WinnipegMom on 2009-11-29Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

This show was the first "show" I have taken my 3 1/2 yr old son to and he was ABSOLUTELY MESMERIZED. The show was engaging, fun, playful, and even educational - learning about the seasons. When I asked my son if he wanted to go to another show like this he said "No, I want to go to THIS show again!". I would definitely recommend this show to others.

Little Bear - a great show for the whole family

by Oneson on 2009-11-29Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

This treehouse cartoon came to life in Winnipeg on a sunny afternoon on November 28th. The show, which was less than 2 hours in length, was full of bright costumes, colourful characters, lively song and dance routines and a story line befitting of the television show that children enjoy watching. Overall, it was great family entertainment at a reasonable price.

My girls 2 and 5 absolutely loved it. Lots of songs, and not too long. They asked me if they could go see it again.

    Little Bear - Delightful!

by BJ121 on 2009-11-29Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

My hat's off to the dancers giving such a delightful performance in those costumes! My favourite part was Cat on the rink - but everything was great! The toddler in our group was mesmerized by the entire performance. Length was just right. Sets were great.

Little Bear WAAAYYY Better than Backyardigans!!!

by Michayne on 2009-11-25Festival Place - Sherwood Park

This show was amazing; after going to see Backyardigans earlier in the year we were prepared for less than mediocre.... but boy were we wrong!!!! This cast was amazing, the kids all got involved - my 2 1/2 year old daughter rarely pays attention to anything for more than 3 minutes, and she was entranced the whole show through and did not want to leave! Also, the actors could act AND sing - a HUGE benefit in a very musical show - and there was a definite storyline!!!! More than I had ever expected for such inexpensive tickets!!! And, as a bonus, this show was not a cash grab - it seemed like this group, from actors to producers, was very focused on quality not only in performance, but also in overall family experience. The venue it was held in (Festival Place) sold juice boxes for 50 cents, and for $2 generous candy bags (my whole family of 3 shared one and had more than enough). As a souvenir, I bought my daughter 3 QUALITY Little Bear books - 2 were $3 each, the third was $5. Other souvenirs included teddy bears, touques, and scarves - things worth taking home - and nothing over $10! For a family on a budget that wants their children to have the opportunity to see a quality show and an experience they can remember fondly as they grow up, this is the one I will recommend to anyone who will listen!

    Little Bear was Fun

by George11 on 2009-11-24Festival Place - Sherwood Park

Little Bear was a good production. I was a little dissappointed with Little Bear's costume. It seemed like he was way too tall and his head definitely needed to be bigger! I wasn't thrilled with Emily either, she needed to be more like the cartoon. It through me off the whole show. My kids did enjoy the singing, however there was a lot of singing. OK show1

Took my 5 year old daughter to Little Bear at Festival Place and she loved it! She was worried it would be a "baby" show but loved the singing and dancing. Great venue!

    Little Bear was big

by Anonymous on 2009-11-22Festival Place - Sherwood Park

Quite the show. The length of the show (75 minutes total with 15 minute intermission) was appropriate for the age groups, the costumes were remarkably similar to the cartoon counterparts as were the voices. The boys and their friends sat enthralled as each new character appeared. Well done to bring a new character on stage one or two at a time as the play continued. The strobe action on the flashing blue light "toys" being sold in the lobby were very distracting and probably should not have been available until the end of the show although I'm not sure if the organizers had control of this issue. One other minor point was the amount of sugared snacks available at the intermission. It seemd the second half of the show had more disruptive audience noise than the first. Aside from these points the play itself was very captivating and our kids with their friends all enjoyed themselves.

    Great preschool fun!

by youngfamily on 2009-11-21Festival Place - Sherwood Park

This is our second time seeing this production. It is a fun thing to watch with your preschooler, very engaging and positive with the sweet characters from TV. Kids were dancing in the aisles and singing along.
