    Lonestar doesn't disappoint

by CynthiaM on 2011-05-24Casino Rama - Orillia

Loved the show. The music was great. The lead singer has an amazing voice - such range. The keyboardist was awesome also. I was disappointed however in the stage backdrop. I thought with a band of that calibre it would have been a little more impressive. Two boxes with very plain letters on it (?) What's up with that!

Took my wife to see Lonestar at Casino Rama for her birthday. WOW! We both liked Lonestar already but we are now HUGE fans. Bought an autographed CD there and havent stopped listening to it. We both agreed it was an awesome show at a great venue and we would definitely go and see Lonestar again!!!

by ladyinblack on 2011-05-23Casino Rama - Orillia

Even though it's not completely the original band....the show was fantastic. They played to the audience .... everyone loved the show The music was great . They allowed people at the stage and posed for their pictures

The show was great, Lonestar sounds slightly different now as they have a new lead singer. But he was great. Some songs was difficult to understand what he was saying but they may have been due to an audio issue. Overall it was a great show and they made a great attempt to get the audience involved.

This is a great band, but don't understand why they felt that they needed to add a bunch of covers, instead of playing their own material, many #1 hits or favourites left out, hence the fair rating. Would have liked more of their own material.

Good concert. Lead singer is excellent. However, we did find the music was a little too loud compared to the vocals.

    Lonestar Rocked!!!

by Barberella on 2010-11-28River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

When Lonestar came out on stage it took a minute to figure out where Dave Rich was. As the concert went on I enjoyed the new guy wayyyyyyyyy more. What a voice!!!!! They rocked the concert with their well known favorites and even at the end they rocked some really awesome 80's tunes. What a great rendition of Journey!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and my b/f loved it as well and we're not teenagers anymore! I would so go again! Thank you!

    Lonestar was average

by zoolou on 2010-11-22River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

It was not good seeing only 3 of the original line up and no Ritchie up front who was the whole band I thought. It always seems when a front man has been changed, it is pretty hard to bring back the magic of the first line up. I found their sound was not up to par but they were entertaining and worked hard but it just didn't do it for me, sorry....

    Lonestar - lonely? - for a reason

by Kenji on 2010-11-22River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Went to see the show because of some of their past hits. Heard a few, but the show was not the best. The show was loud, and short - only lasted 90-100 minutes and left quite a few of their past hits out. I said to my partner, what happepns when you leave the stage for the proverbial standing ovation to bring you back and nothing happens? We nearly saw what happens, when Lonestar went off the stage, a lot of people left. We were just going to get up and leave when they came back for some more of the noise. We got up and left anyway.

    Lonestar

by Shortie13 on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

I think that the sound was too loud for the Venue, sometimes the singing sounded distorted. I also was surprised that for the money I paid for our tickets, the concert only lasted just over 1 hour.

Lonestar was almost a lonestar a 1 out of 5

by DennisandRhonda on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

So they only really played 3 big hits out of many. THE SHOW ONLY LASTED 90 MINUTES. Ya, I went to see Lonestar not Led Zep, AC/DC or anything else they did. We went home and listened to a couple Lonestar CD's yearning for more.

    WOW

by Anonymous on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

I was a little shocked with the Venue, not what i expected..The concert was amazing (as I fully expected) and they have only gotten better over the years. It would have been absolutely fantastic if the venue would make up it's mind what their intentions are for these great performers..My suggestion: make it more comfortable for the customers to get up and enjoy themselves, hence make the performers job alot more enjoyable as they see their fans participating. But Lonestar worked with the crowds and it made ME feel like it was a "personal" performance. Fantastic job and hope to se Y'all very soon. Until then, i will be purchasing your new CD and enjoy your new music that way. Thank you for a great performance.

    Lonestar goes rock

by tbone on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Great concert except for the band's need to play other groups' songs - was really looking forward to hearing more of their own songs - I'm sure they have enough to do a whole concert. Alhough I really like Van Halen & Tom Petty, wold have liked to have heard more 'Lonestar'.

    Lonestar (wannabe Rockstar)

by loveart on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

The 'Lonestar' songs were pretty good, what you could hear over the 'way too loud music. They could have cranked the music down to half and brought the vocals up and it would have been better. If you want to hear a country group, wait for someone else. these guys want to be a rock band and their new songs and the screaming guitars show it.

    Too short and too loud

by Anonymous on 2010-01-31River Cree Resort & Casino - Edmonton

Very good music but way too loud to appreciate. My ears are still aching. When sound is loud it's lives up the croud, but this time I think it was the opposite. After an hour in the show, with a few drinks the croud was getting in, but the show only lasted 1.5 hours. Too short and too loud.
