Vancouver's reception to Lorde was amazing! From what I saw, she played to a standing "O" the whole time! I was proud to be apart of such a receptive audience. I would definitely recommend seeing her. Her dancers were amazing and Lorde again was amazing!

  • Absolutely amazing

This was such a fantastic experience!! I will never forget the energy of this concert, and how personal it felt. Lorde didn't disappoint one bit and exceeded all my expectations. The venue was also nice and clean and offered all the standard food snacks. Would definitely recommend and will go again in the future.

  • Lorde is a very down to earth performer!

    by Gabba3 on 2018-03-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the concert. It was simple compared to other shows/concert that I've been to. But Lorde is talented, down to earth and showed the importance of the fans to her. It should have been an excellent show if not for 3 people in our area that are openly smoking marijuana. That really pissed me off and I'm sure to others too. Who wants to inhale a second-hand marijuana smoke!! For the whole concert from beginning to end those people were just very inconsiderate of others.

  • Lorde was electrifying

Lorde is a young, energetic artists that has an undeniable stage presence. She talked to the audience and was very interacting.

  • Praise the Lorde!

The Lorde concert was fantastic! She had great energy and interacted with the crowd. She also had dancers with the music and it went along really, really well. She was on time (which I really appreciate, not a lot of other artists are!). She sang really well too, and sounded even better than on the record! She also played a lot of her old songs as well as all the new songs from Melodrama, so that was great! The only gripe was that floor seating at Rogers Area was way too squished together, so you were always a bit uncomfortable sitting down and being wayyyy to close to the people next to you. The concert itself was magical and I'd go watch again! The opening act Tove Stryke was great. Run the Jewels also opened, but it seemed really weird that they were there. Their music wasn't like Lorde or Tove's at all and their performance had an excessive amount of flashing lights. Like, literally every song was just repeated flashing lights. They seemed really grateful to be there though and their performance didn't detract from the overall experience. If you get a chance to attend, go!

  • Lorde was amazing.

Lorde was amazing. I flew all the way across the country to see her perform live and it was well worth it. 'Yellow Flicker Beat' and 'Writer in the Dark' were both mesmerizing to hear live. I couldn't recommend her enough.

  • Lorde is an amazing performer

I went to this concert for a friend’s birthday and wasn’t sure I’d like it. She’s a fantastic and engaging performer. The dancers were so talented and she really knew how to connect with the crowd.

  • Lorde was spectacular!

  • Loved it

So great to attend a concert where the performer is fully engaged. Boatloads of charisma. Thanks to Rogers arena for relocating us. Nice to go to a venue that handles things properly ... unlike say the hopeless amateurs at thunderbird arena.

  • It was a good show

    by Bankabanka90 on 2018-03-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

It was a good show, she came out @8:45-1045pm and I went to see her on a school night. She sang old and new songs and had good playlist.

  • Lorde blew my mind

Absolutely stunning show, everything was incredible. If I could I’d go and see her at a bunch more venues.

  • Bright Future for Lorde

by Bearmountain on 2018-03-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert. She is talented and personable. Even better live than her recordings! Only negative was the “changed seats” with no notice. The supposed “upgrade” had an obstructed view. That was disappointing.

  • In Tears The Entire Night!!

by Anonymous on 2018-03-11Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Lorde was absolutely fantastic: she is an extremely engaged and moving performer. My seat was quite far away (Section110) and my only complaint is that I should have bought something closer. Even at a distance, Lorde still presented a thought-out, breathtaking show.

She put on a very heartfelt show. Her signing was very good live. And the songs came across well in person.

  • PURE TALENT & GREAT VENUE!!!

by Sarahrocksxo on 2014-09-17TD Echo Beach - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was pleasantly surprised with the venue at Echo Beach, the set up allows you to see no matter where you are standing which is helpful as a short person! The sand is a great affect and the stage is a decent size still. Now onto the talent.... LORDE! She was amazing! Her set list was stellar, her voice was on pointe and her stage show was not too flashy, it was simple & just enough to keep you entertained but still focused on her music which is the most important thing. Her dancing is unorthodox but makes it that much more entertaining! Also the crowd danced with her! Terrific, I didnt want the show to end! I cannot wait to see her perform again, come back to TO soon!!!

  • Lorde was fantastic

by WhiteToothedTeen on 2014-09-15TD Echo Beach - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I love Lorde's lyrics and music. Her stage presence is strong and the set design was evocative and it set the mood for various songs she sang, 400 Lux, Royals, Team, Ribs, and World Away being a stand outs.

  • Lorde dominates the stage!

by kiminogirl on 2014-09-15TD Echo Beach - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The opening act was never listed by TicketMaster so I was curious to see if there would even be one. Unfortunately there was and it was pretty painful to listen through. While the opening act Majical Cloudz had significantly more interaction with the crowd than Lorde did, lead singer Devon Welsh could not stop saying "okay" between every word (I'll attribute this to nerves, performing in front of such a large crowd) and everything felt very abrupt. Lorde was quite good live - she lived up to my expectations, performed some of my favourite songs, as well as one cover (noted in my favourite moment) and also played us a new track (or maybe it was a B-side - I hadn't heard it before and I have her album). She spent a lot of time stage right - it would have been nice to see her use the full stage more equally. Some of her audience interaction felt very generic, however; she went off on a tangent about how scary it is to grow up - something she's had to do much more quickly than more 17 year olds due to her international fame. She went through 3 costume changes - I was a little surprised - most bands that I see don't bother with that sort of thing, but I don't normally see pop solo acts so maybe that's a normal thing. Overall it was a good show I would see her again once her discography grows larger.

  • Amazing

by MacSharp on 2014-06-02Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Being a fan of her music, I had heard that Lorde didn't sound very good live, which after watching her on stage for an hour is something that I would completely disagree with. Being somebody that goes to more than 80 big venue shows a year, it really means something when I say Lorde blew me away! Better show than Aerosmith or Madonna! Even if you don't know anything but her hits, I would highly recommend putting up the sixty bucks to go see her. I've already got my tickets to go see her a second time. I went in thinking that the show would be mellow based on her studio work, but it was a borderline rock show that was pleasing for the head-bangers too.

  • Lorde is a compelling entertainer

    by mojave3 on 2014-03-19Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Saturday, March 15 was most definitely a very special evening. At just about 10pm Lorde arrived onstage very quietly and went on to perform a phenomenal set just over an hour in length. Most of the set included music from her album and ep. A few extra songs which have become standards in her set such as "Easy" and "Swinging Party" were very well received. A fine visual presentation, excellent band mates and Lorde's phenomenal entertainment skills made this show a must see. I would definitely return to see Lorde again. Venue is one of the worst in Toronto...the only bad thing about the night. Location is terrible, parking expensive and venue is like a big cavern. I usually dread going to the Sound Academy but chanced it because of the great buzz surrounding Lorde. She delivered and made me forget about the venue limitations during her set.
