Wow! The way this true story of a piece of Canadian history came to life moved me in a way I never thought musical theate could! It is brilliant, captivating and entertaining. It brought me to tears. It was so moving that I booked to see it again!
Lost Heros of Oro is a MUST see!! I went to watch the show last year at Georgian Theater and must say, it was INCREDIBLE!! The lights and sound all were perfectly set, very deep topic with clearly a lot of research put into it, and don't even get me started on the actors, they were phenomenal! Alinka Angelova always knows how to impress an audience and stand out in front of a crowd!!!
The Lost Heroes of Oro was fantastic production oh my gosh. I never expected going into that theatre to feel so emotional. It was just that beautiful. The love story, the resilience, the unexpected! And I love the use of past and present simultaneously… just brilliant! And my kids loved it too. Can’t wait to see it again!
Now I must admit, I’m not really a musical theatre person but I came to see this show because my friend’s daughter was apart of it. And I was BLOWN AWAY! The storyline was so amazing I couldn’t believe I was watching something about history. The music was so beautifully composed and the singers were to die for. Truly an unrated musical and I think it’s definitely on its way to be up there with the GREATS. Best part is… It’s Canadian! Any Canadians looking to educate themselves or others more into this countries black history must see The Lost Heroes of Oro!
This is one of those plays, which will affect you at the moment and long after that. It is worthy to be deemed as a promising Broadway production-in-the-making. The storyline is well written. The music is so enriched. The characters moving, and now it's being put on the big stage. It will blow people away! Mixing the past and present timelines, excellently done! I can't wait to see it again!
I had the chance to see this show in February at the Georgian Theatre and let me just say that I was completely BLOWN AWAY!!!!! I'm still buzzing from that performance, and now I get to experience it at the Elgin Theatre, just take my money. The story was so well crafted, and the performances were amazing. I was completely captivated from start to finish. The actors did such a great job. They brought the characters to life in a way that makes you forget where you are and just live in the moment. I felt like I was right there with them, experiencing their struggles and triumphs. The music and singing were so powerful, every actor on stage deserves their own record deal. I was particularly impressed by the way the show blended history with storytelling. The seamless blend of past and present story told through the lens of a looking glass back into the past was brilliant. It made the connection far more relatable to all audiences. If you are looking for a show that will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted, I highly recommend Lost Heroes of Oro. It's a must see, over and over and over again!

I have to say, this musical was so uplifting, entertaining, funny, educational and touching all at the same time. The storyline, the script, the original songs and music was so good. I saw it twice and was happy to be one of all who were there and who gave a standing ovation... Don't miss the next showing!
