  • Looking at your watch all night is not engaging

by QueenNickie on 2011-02-01Arden Theatre - St AlbertRating: 1 out of 5

We've really enjoyed this fellow in the past and my daughter raved about his folk fest performance. After driving three hours in the dead of winter to hear a lackluster performance filled with all new stuff that we had never heard, interrupted by constant looking at his watch to see just how much longer he had to stay on the stage left us disenchanted. We were on the highway less than two hours after the show started. Quite a let down.

  • Loudon - Extremely Enjoyable!

by forza on 2011-02-01Arden Theatre - St AlbertRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Loudon on Jan. 26/11 at the wonderful Arden Theatre in St. Albert, Alberta where there's not a bad seat in the house. He put on a great show, full of humour and wit. It was a very enjoyable way to spend a cold Wednesday evening. He referred several times during the show to having just spent 6 hours in the Seattle Airport, then rushing to the Arden, so I think he had very little time before he had to perform. You would never know it by his show. He knows how to please the audience! I would have loved to have heard more of his older stuff like The Swimming Song and Dead Skunk, but maybe he's just tired of singing those ones. Overall, a great show.
