Mack 10 is a West Coast rapper who has sold nearly 11 million albums as a solo and group performer. The Inglewood, California-born rapper released his debut album in 1995, Mack 10. That same year he appeared on the Friday (1995) soundtrack with “Take a Hit,” which earned him mainstream recognition. A year after releasing his debut album, Mack 10 released 1996’s Bow Down with Westside Connection, the West Coast rap supergroup he formed. The platinum-selling debut reached No.2 on the Billboard 200 behind hit singles "Gangstas Make the World Go Round" and “Bow Down.” Mack 10 continued his success with a string of popular tracks: “Backyard Boogie” in 1997, "Money's Just a Touch Away” in 1998 and the 2000 collaboration with Timbaland and Westside Connection, “Nobody.” In 2007, Capitol/Priority Records released the career-spanning compilation, The Best of Mack 10: Foe Life, certifying Mack 10’s status as a West Coast rap legend.
