MAJID JORDAN IN CONCERT:
Pop duo Majid Jordan dropped their self-titled debut album in early 2016 to critical and commercial success, cracking the Top 10 on the R&B charts before kicking off their first-ever tour. The Drake protégés have certainly gotten a boost from their relationship with Drizzy, but they hardly needed it – their minimal yet soulful sound stands on its own, drawing listeners in with catchy hooks, slick beats, and painstaking attention to sonic detail. During their first round on the road the pair impressed fans with serious swagger and slayed stages big and small with the one-two punch of Majid Al Maskati's sensual croon and Jordan Ullman's cutting-edge production skills. Drake has an eye for talent, and ticket buyers lucky enough to catch Majid Jordan live will have no trouble seeing why he took them under his wing.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman met in the early '00s while they were studying at the University of Toronto. After bonding over music they started working together in Ullman's dorm room studio, and things instantly clicked. The pair released a mixtape under the moniker Good People, and within 24 hours they had been contacted by Drake's people. After joining the rapper's then-fledgling OVO Sound label the pair co-produced Drake's 2013 chart-topper "Hold On, We're Going Home," and in 2014 they made their debut as Majid Jordan with the OVO-released EP A Place Like This. They followed up with the single "My Love," a collaboration with Drake, and in 2016 they cracked the Top 20 on both the R&B and Hip Hop charts with their self-titled debut album. The record's success drew them out for their first tour, and they've been killing it with next-level performances ever since.

by Nicc24 on 2016-12-08Amazing - TorontoLiterally the best two nights of my life. They gave me so much life. I love how interactive Majid was with the audience as well as with Jordan. Although Jordan is more in the background working his magic with his equipment Majid always makes sure to shout him out and make everyone aware that what Jordan is doing on that stage is all real, and as amazing as Majids singing as well. Overall, one of the best concert experiences of my life, like I still don't stop thinking about those nights till this day, and it's been 1 month since I saw them. but like I don't care, every time I think about it I get the biggest smile on face. I'm just so obsessed with them. They definitely raised my concert standards to a whole new level. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who's even listened to one of their songs, it will honestly change your whole perspective on the type of artists that they are and you will definitely become bigger fans.

They were so so so good live, somehow even better live, which is unbelievable. Majid is so engaging and has all the dance moves, and makes sure to give the limelight to Jordan as well. Would highly recommend this show to anyone who is even the slightest fan of them.

Majid sounds even better live, and they both are so amazing together. Definitely would be attending their future concerts, they are truly humble and put on a great show for their fans.
